Total minimum prize money per event series is as follows:
• WTT Grand Smash: USD $1,550,000
• WTT Finals: USD $800,000 + USD 500,000 boost
• WTT Champions: USD $500,000
• WTT Star Contender: USD $300,000
• WTT Contender: USD $100,000
• WTT Feeder Series: USD $30,000

• WTT Champions: USD $400,000
• WTT Star Contender: USD $250,000
• WTT Contender: USD $80,000
• WTT Feeder Series: USD $22,500

Although more work needs to be done to increase prize money, there is a lot more prize money available than there were in the ITTF days. For players whose national association pays for travel/lodging, if they can average around R16/QF in the 4 Smashes and 6 Champions tournaments that's enough to make 6 figures just from WTT. Add in their league earnings and any sponsorships, and they should be doing pretty well. So it pays to maintain a top 32 ranking.
