Hi,

i was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on the above blades? I am looking to upgrade to a more offensive blade from my Stiga allround Classic WRB and like the look of both the above.

Price isn't a problem and I'm leaning towards the Strad but im a bit concerned it may be too fast. The diva on the other hand sounds a bit slower in the reviews I've read but I don't want it to be too similar to my current blade.

i currently play at local league level to a decent level if that helps.

Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

i realise this may be a silly question but I don't post on forums very often so be gentle with me?

Thanks.

Stu.

Do THIS MOD to Ur blade and buy a new FH rubber you like, but never bought and have a go at it...

The glue and nails will cost under 1 GBP and the rubber will only be a fraction of Ur proposed new blade. You will add kick to your blade while retaining or even improving your feel, PLUS you get to try a hot new modern rubber to boot.

I have tried the Stradivarius. I did not really like it. It felt sort of flat and without a personality. It was like a not so good imitation of a Timo Boll ALC or Sprirt blade. But it did not have the crispness, aliveness or snap that a TBS or ALC has. If you want the Stradivarius I would just get the TBS.

I have not tried Diva but I have tried a few Xiom blades and I don't love most of them. The Diva sounds like it is about the same speed rating as a Stiga Offensive Classic. What about that blade? Avalox P-500 may be good for you as well. Those are definitely faster than the Allround Classic and they have good wood feel. A DHS PG3 or DHS Hurricane King may be good as well. All wood Offensive blades.

And, again, if you want carbon go for TBS. But I would get all wood if I was you.

Oh yea, the modification that Der_Echte is talking about to add weight to the handle would make your blade faster.
