The only disadvantage is that the ball is slightly slower than DHS’s ball, apart from that it is flawless. Way longer lasting than Butterfly’s 40+ ball, so much so we’ve stopped using them at our club. This ball is a must buy!

I'm a big fan of this ball, not to sure why it's not used more. It's used a lot here in the UK in local league and VETT events.
Pros
  • Good feel
  • Spin
Cons
  • Still breaks
  • Not always round
There's nothing majorly wrong with this ball. The balls sometimes vary in roundness, but there are a lot of round balls. When using a round ball there is nothing wrong with it. Consistent bounce, good spin as well as speed. So the only real flaws are that they can vary in quality quite often and also break easily.

Pros
  • Perfect
From all the plastic balls I tried so far (except the new DHS) this is the best I came up. It has the best balance between hardness, durability and roundness.
Also the quality of the balls is good, not many "eggs". Can't go wrong with this.

Hello All!

At first I tried the one star version of this ball, and I could not find a round one. Many balls got stuck in the robot (Butterfly Amicus). I nearly gave up on these balls. This time our country distributor announced the three star balls which are round and perfect in every sense. So I bought a box (6 balls). My initial thoughts and expectations were to find 1 perfect round 2-3 imperfect but very good, 2-3 eggs and 1 Butal egg shaped balls. I found 1 imperfect and 5 eggs. Because of these characteristics there is a great chance when you loop a ball with decent spin, it will simply jump or sneek on the table after contact, which makes the game untolerable and dissapointing. Also handling spinny balls is a pain, because predicting the bounce is hard math. Compared to other balls the durability is average, other balls like Butterfly MQ are more durable. Xushaofa can handle 2-3 blade edge hits before cracking. The ball gets polished quickly, which is a real pain to loopers, not to mention, that this ball is seamless. Usually seamless balls tend to rotate less, and they have a differrent feeling, when playing. The effective lifespan of one ball is around 5-6 training hours. Plastic ball in general does not support spin oriented game, this particular ball does not support it further more.

This ball is suitable for "girlish" fast and flat exchanges, for some hours, then it loses grip and deforms to an egg shape.

Sorry if being negative, but old celluloid balls were better. Nowdays there are good plastic balls, I have official competition balls (like ETTC 2016 Nittaku, HUN World Tour DHS) and they play better then commercial balls, but the durability of these balls are also low.

This is the best ball you can buy at least from what I've tried. It lasts a really long time and has a great bounce. It's not too heavy and it's hardness, roundness, etc. are great. It bounces a little tiny bit slow though but I guess no ball is perfect. Also, they are not cheap. Anyone now about the one star training versions? How are they compared to this one?

This is the best plastic ball in the market,in my opinion. The ball has a great feel and really feels right,it's not too fast or too slow. It's also not too expensive compared to other plastic balls. The only downside is that this ball will break quite easily if you 'top edge' the ball.Other than that it's a great ball!

The first batch XuShaoFa 40+ was bad quality. It kept breaking after using them for one hour.

This has vastly improved with the new 2016 batch. It does not break easily, are round and have a good bounce.

The only issue I have with this ball is that its very fast.

My local league uses these balls and I've had a decent experience with them, they don't seem to break too easily and seem to be relatively consistent, bounce does seem quite high. It seems quite hard, I've tested this by pressing my fingers into it and it won't budge unless pressed pretty hard. Haven't heard any complaints from other players and as they're used in the local league they must've been some-what tested so I would recommend this ball.

Pros
  • Surface
  • bounce
The XSF 3* balls have been improved (in 2016), there are more balls being: round and consistent. Bounce is still a little higher than BTY 40+, however, I've adapted and play with them. I like XSF 3* over BTY 40+ and the BTY G40 as the BTY surface smooths out too soon (and the balls are only good for maybe multi-ball). The XSF 3* retains that flat (non-smoothed, not shiny) surface and I've used the same balls repeatedly for 3 months in informal matches.

XuShaoFa has created a durable and round ball. It does not break easily and can last a long time. I have not managed to break even one of these balls in the few years I have played with them. They are really good for the price.

My local club uses these balls. I like them a lot. I think when they first came out they broke a lot easier and were less durable than the new batch of balls. They are fast and do not require to much effort. I am surprised they are not used in more major tournaments.

IMHO, best 40+ ball to play with..Consistent roundness, durable (but break easily if hit edge of blade), & hard feeling when hit. For me, the closest feeling to the celluloid ball.

Good ball for what it is, doesn't have the same durability as the old celluloid ones but it's much better than the seamed rubbish DHS have been making.

I have trained with that ball for a whole week and they were most durable balls I have hit with last year. The quality was very good, roundness of all of them was perfect.

The Xushaofa 3* is a very good ball for the buck. I haven't broken one until now there I would say it is very durable. The only remark I would say is that the ball reminds me if playing with a jumbo ball.

As with all plastic balls, the ball does crack however out of eighteen i bought only one has cracked over 6 months of multi ball( with other balls) too. It is seamless and makes a crisp contact with the rubber as it makes contact. Also probably best value for money.

Very good balls. they are durable and have good playing characteristics. However they just break in a second if you hit it with the edge of your racket very hard.

I tested this plastic ball during my club practice in my opinion its pretty good, it felt different compared to the butterfly plastic training balls i won from butterfly took a 20 minutes and i was already into it and consistent throughout all my strokes. I believe this is the best plastic ball currently right now. However i still need more time for a solid conclusion for now.

We´ve been using this ball in our club for about 2 years now and still didn´t manage to break one(!!). Its durability is extraordinary. We still got the same two sixpacks of balls since then. No cell ball has been lasting that long. It is very close to the old cell balls, except of the higher bounce and the less speed. The spin ability isn´t the same as cell balls but it´s quite close. Another plus is that they´re not as hard to get as a few other 40+balls. Many stores in my area seem to have them on stock.
All in all i think it´s a pretty good ball.
