This blade is catalogued by Buttlefly as a "Medium speed" blade, but actually, as one would expect from a T5000 blade its fast. Ok, not that fast as others T500 blades like Primorac Carbon, Schlager, etc but it still has a decent speed, a little less than Timo Boll Spirit. It has a big head but its not head heavy, it doesnt feels heavy at all, its quite soft and controllable, maybe not as good for looping like other blades but still ok (one of the best of the T5000 series) The composition is: Koto - T5000 - Ayous - T5000 - Koto

Nice ball, it has a good consistency, it's closer to the 3 star ball in performance but closer to the 1 star in price, i find it ok for training, the bad thing is the quality control, some balls aren't as round as i'd like. The durability is good, maybe not the more durable, but better than other ittf approved balls (ej donic). I think it behaves a lot like the dhs ball

Pros
  • Good Spin
  • Fast and direct
  • sik green sponge
Cons
  • kinda of heavy
Playing tenergy 05 before, I've decided to get Andro Rasant instead because of its much cheaper price.

It surprised me in its ability to generate spin and momentum in the ball. It is a bit heavy for me but this heaps to generate speed and pace. In terms of spin it feels pretty much the same with tenergy 05 and it also faster. However, tenergy 05 is much more controllable for me as its weight feels just nice for me. Only just got it a few months back and no signs of the rubber wearing out. It also has this crazy sick green sponge which is obviously the best. (green is the best m8). It will probably be even better once I'm really used to this and also gain some muscle -.-.

Hope this helps people to get a better idea of the rubber!!! :))))) (quintuple chin)

This rubber is promoted ad an alternative to the Tenergy series. Well, it's not like Tenergy, its a tensor, but it performs very well.
I find this rubber very fast, its very springy, has a great catapult efect so it's better to have some skills to control this rubber. The sponge is a little fragile, so you have to be carefull when you take out this rubber if you want to use it again, its very porous too. The hardness its nice, the M3 its too soft for me, the M2 sponge its just a little softer than JP2.
The topsheet is very grippy, also fragile, it has kinda mate finish and it looks worn out soon, but it takes more time until its really worn out. The other thing about the topsheet that called my atention is that when i glued it i saw it had like little bubbles inside (just noticeable when looking in detail), i thought i made something wrong when gluing but then i saw others with the same thing (glued by people who has experience), however it doesn't affect the play at all.
It can generate lots of spin and good speed.
The worst part are the serves, due to the springiness its harder to make dead serves, but its still ok.
IMO this is one of the best rubbers outhere for its price.

The first batch XuShaoFa 40+ was bad quality. It kept breaking after using them for one hour.

This has vastly improved with the new 2016 batch. It does not break easily, are round and have a good bounce.

The only issue I have with this ball is that its very fast.

Spinny, quite slow with good control, using it on my backhand and has been useful to improve my backhand loop. It has a high throw which takes some getting used to. I have this in max, it is quite heavy which is important to keep in mind as it can make your setup quite head-heavy depending on the blade and other rubber you have.

My local league uses these balls and I've had a decent experience with them, they don't seem to break too easily and seem to be relatively consistent, bounce does seem quite high. It seems quite hard, I've tested this by pressing my fingers into it and it won't budge unless pressed pretty hard. Haven't heard any complaints from other players and as they're used in the local league they must've been some-what tested so I would recommend this ball.

Pros
  • Surface
  • bounce
The XSF 3* balls have been improved (in 2016), there are more balls being: round and consistent. Bounce is still a little higher than BTY 40+, however, I've adapted and play with them. I like XSF 3* over BTY 40+ and the BTY G40 as the BTY surface smooths out too soon (and the balls are only good for maybe multi-ball). The XSF 3* retains that flat (non-smoothed, not shiny) surface and I've used the same balls repeatedly for 3 months in informal matches.

I've been playing with Tenergy 64 on the Backhand for a year now.

It's an excellent rubber for the punch blocking and blocks in general, as it doesn't absorb the spin as much as other rubbers.

However, it is lacking in high quality spin away from the table - For this, Tenergy 05 is the much better option (it produces a higher arc).

Recommended for a player who can control the speed, who likes to play close to the table attacking shots.

I've used lots of 40+ balls for trainings and competition, but for me this is the only ball that is really good in QUALITY like good old celluloid balls. If you take other balls box of 6, you can throw off half of them because they're unplayable (not round and soft) at a higher level, like topspin to topspin. These are all perfect round and hard. They are more expensive, but it's worth to pay extra money, because it breaks 2-3x less. For example if you take Xushaofa - it's enough to hit harder one time with corner of the blade to break it. This premium ball will break only after 3-4 corners. Also lots of world top players (Ovtcharov, Boll, Samsonov) said they would like to play all competitions with these balls. I can say the same.

I use this rubber for more than a year now on my FH. On BH I'm still using softer rubber (M3), but after some time I'll switch to JP01Turbo aswell. First I'm not that equipment freak that thinks that blade and rubber should do everything for you. I think technique is always first. If you have proper technique - you could play almost any manufacturer rubber. I've tried a lot of them (tenergy, evolution, bluefire, airoc, maxxx, rhyzm), didn't had any problems with either of them, but I use bluefire because I can get them for best possible price. I played with tenergy for quite some time also, but don't find something much better in it than bluefire rubbers.

As for these JP01Turbos - lots of players plays with them in my country, nobody have any problems with it. What I would exclude - it's controll. Controll with this rubber is really good as for 47.5 hardness rubber. Maybe it's because it's a little bit slower (if you compare to tenergy 05), but not much, speed is still more than enough to finish the point, but as I said you have superb controll. I even can't think of any cons for it.

Weight in max is same as for any 47.5 hardness rubber - about 50g cut (depends on your blade size)

So if you like 47.5 hardness rubbers - try it, it's really good.

Pros
  • Decent Speed
  • Nice Spinny
  • Controllable
Cons
  • Lower Arc
  • Unforgiving
This is a decent rubber for the price, which is lower when bought outside the North American market. The G1 feels fast, yet controllable and spinny. The topsheet is relatively smooth but the sponge is similar to one of a Chinese rubber. The G1 produces a lowish, narrow arc that can be unforgiving at times. It can produce a lot of spin as well as punch on the ball. The G1 is comparable to the Tenergy series.

XuShaoFa has created a durable and round ball. It does not break easily and can last a long time. I have not managed to break even one of these balls in the few years I have played with them. They are really good for the price.

This ball plays the closest to the 40mm celluloid ball which is what we thought would be the logical goal when then balls changed. Sadly, every other ball takes adaptation to play as the characteristics are so different. The NP40+ however feels just like the old balls and is pleasurable to play with. Unfortunately I think Nittaku priced themselves out of the club markets as it seems the cheaper ones are selected for club play. If the plastic balls were to follow a standard, I would vote the NP40+.

I take back what I said about Ebenholz haha after using Nexy Zealot for quite some time I realized I need speed because Zealot is a pure control blade but lacks the power to kill the ball cause it's all about control. defeating opponents through placement and the really low arc of the ball.

The most prominent feature of this blade is the incredible ball feel. I sanded the NCT coating in my forehand side for more feel cause I hated the loud cracking sound in my forehand and my Hurricane rubber is so hard to glue. When I sanded the fh side of my blade I noticed more feeling a deeper feeling of holding the ball for more spin. The report about the backhand is true at first but when adjusted my backhand was much better as you can see in the video I posted in the post your multiball thread. Another thing I noticed about the blade is the hollow handle making the blade head heavy. Which in turn feels that the blade is part of your hand. The blade pairs very well with Chinese rubbers compared from the blades I owned and adding Tenergy in your bh makes it a truly deadly Chinese-style weapon.

This ball breaks easily. We can break this ball in just one game holy cow there goes my money. But fortunately it's cheap and when used in drills it's slightly durable. I still prefer the Nexy balls over this.
