The fifth round of the China Super League got underway yesterday on the 12[SUP]th[/SUP] June. This is the fifth round of the fourteen rounds of the major league in China!

Shangdong vs Ninbo
The opening match saw Shandong’s Zhang Jike comfortably beat Wang Jianjun 3-1. This is the ninth win for Zhang Jike in the Chinese Super League.
The second match up saw the foreign aid of Joo Se Hyuk defeat Ma Long of Ninbo 3-2.
The third match was the doubles match. Zhang Chao and Fang Bo beat Wu Hao and Wang Jianjun to bring the overall score to 2-1 for Shandong. In the fourth match was the contest everyone had been waiting for. The two leading players of the world, China’s Zhang Jike vs Ma Long.
It was Ma Long who broke Zhang Jike’s winning streak defeating Zhang 3-0 with scores 11-6, 12-10 and 11-2. This is the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] time in a row Ma Long has beaten Zhang Jike in the China Super League.
The fifth match was tense! Shandong’s Zhang Chao defeated Tian Haiwei 3-0 to give Shangdong the win of 3-2.
Bazou vs Bayi
Wang Hao of Bayi defeated Cui Quinglei in a 3-1 victory. Xu Xin Levelled the scores by comfortably defeating Bayi’s Yan An 3-0.
In the doubles match saw Yan An and Zhou Yu defeat Cu Quinglet and Li Ping 3-0. Bayi were now in a 2-1 lead.
The fourth match was what the crowd had been waiting for. Xu Xin vs Wang Hao! It was a very close match up with each player producing the highest level of table tennis with Bazou’s Xu Xin eventually winning 3-2 with scores 11-8, 11-13, 11-8, 12-14, 11-8
Xu Xin’s team mate Li Ping defeated Zhou Yu which gave Bazhou;s the victory over underfeated Bayi in the Chinese Super League.
Jinzhou vs Sichuan
In the opening match saw Sichuan’s Qui Yike defeat Shang Jun 3-2. In the second match saw the mighty Wang Liqin of Jinzhou defeat Zhang Yu 3-2 from being 2 games down.
In the doubles match Zhang Yu/Xu Ruifeng defeated Jinzhou’s Zhai Yiming/Shang Kim 3-1.
The match the crowd had been waiting for took place. The crowd saw Wang Liqin defeat Sichuan’s Qui Yike 3-1.
In the fifth match, Sichuan’s Xu Ruifeng beat Zhai Yiming to give the second victory for Sichuan in the Chinese Super League. This is Jinzhou’s fourth loss in the league.
Jiangsu vs Zhejiang
The veteran superstar of Zhejiang Ma Lin cruised 2-0 up against Lei Zhenhua. Lei levelled the scores, however Ma Lin won the fifth set 11-3. In the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] match Jiangsu’s Chen Qi lost to Hao Shuai 3-2.
The Jiangsu’s pairing of Lei Zhenhua/ Lin Chen were dismally defeated by Hao Shaui and Xu Hui in a 3-0 victory. This was the fifth straight loss for Jiangsu and the third win for Zhejiang.
