Hey guys I'm new to this thread and to this forum as a whole. I was looking around the web for Super League info when I came across this forum which has been very helpful in keeping me up to date with the season. I also managed to find a website called SD Sport which seems to be writing reports on the 2015 Chinese Super league, just thought I would share if anyone was interested. (sdsport.co.uk)

I have to say that the 2015 Super League has been amazing so far with most of the top guys losing at least once, does anyone think that Fan Zhendong can go the whole season without defeat?

Bayi to win for me.

CTTSL is on a break because of the Japan and Korea Open (even if the Chinese players cancelled their trip in Korea).
Normally start again on July 11th.

I don't think Fan Zhendong can go on unbeaten the whole season. He could lose to either one of the Big Three. It's also possible that he loses to some lesser known player surprisingly. It's human nature to get tired in winning, physically and mentally, and Super League is packed with competitive players.

i agree also with zjkfanforever, and Fan Zhendong just lost to Xu Xin on Jun 28 Japan Open semi final
with score 3-4 (7-11,8-11,11-3,8-11,11-3,11-4,8-11).
from the score looks like Xu Xin purposely give some games to Fan.

No news at all. I would think by July 11 (Round 9) Luneng vs Jiangsu he should have recovered to the extent that he could play at his normal level. But his shoulder and back injuries are old ones, and extended rest could only alleviate them. However, there's no prospect of complete cure. He could only manage or control them.

Anyway, looking forward to Zhang Jike vs Dimitrij Ovtcharov in Round 9.

Now there's news about ZJK's injury in a CCTV sport news aired on July 2 in which ZJK and LGL talked about his injuries. According to ZJK, he is now suffering from lumbar sacral split. Although he's slowly recovering, he could only do basic training because any intensive training could cause waist dislocation in him due to preexisting conditions. The frequent travel required by CTTSL makes it very difficult for him to recover currently. LGL also said that the medical quality at provincial level is not as good as the ones at the national training center; therefore, ZJK is not receiving the best treatment now due to CTTSL when all national team members have to return to their local clubs.

Zhang Jike indicated that he will play on July 11 vs Jiangsu.

But I'm afraid Dimitrij Ovtcharov will not be able to play on July 11. The CTTSL rules require that in order to play in a match, a player has to show up in the previous match. Dimi did not show up for Jiangsu's previous match against Bayi, which means he cannot play in this match unless the rule does not apply to non Chinese players. Same goes for Timo Boll. He cannot play for Weiqian in the team's match against Tianjin on July 11.

Did Timo Boll play Zhang Jike today?

Luneng played Jiangsu where Ovtcharov plays with, not Timo Boll. Timo Boll is with Weiqiao.

Anyway, Zhang Jike did not play on July 11's match. He didn't even show up, which means he won't be able to play in Luneng's next round against Sichuan.

Fang Bo played against Ovtcharov last night, and beat him 3-0.

Apparently, the no show-up-this-round-no-play-next-round rule does not apply to not Chinese players 'cause both Timo and Dimi played last night although they did not show up previous round.
