Hey Jeff, I am new here. Where do you play? I play at the Swan TT club (same as the troublemakers).
I am RPB user too, with only RPB and never use traditional push block. When I first started playing TT I forced myself to only use the backside of the paddle. But even then, my backhand has always been weak during games compared to forehand. I took lessons but none of the penhold coaches there knew how RPB works, so naturally they taught me to use forehand all the time, even on the backhand side. So I had less chances to use my backhand, and over time my backhand never improved.
