Timo Boll using red rubber forehand

Does anybody know if he uses Dignics 05 and if so , what rubber is on the backhand side ?

I saw he is using red rubber on his forehand side in the recent German league matches. Maybe he has started using dignics on both the sides still not sure though.

The thing is he is serving with the red side and then spins so black is his forehand. If he had the same rubbers on both sides I doubt he would be doing that, seems unnecessary.

It might be much simpler, as Timo like many other pros selects his rubbers by weight. In case Black xy gram is not available but red is, the switch will be made.

But of course it also might be a new setup.

True, I was wrong, I went back and watched, I've imagined it.

No worries. I was surprised to see him play with red on the FH. I went back to the videos and pics I took of him playing last Thursday to make sure as well!

I think it is excactly as Airoc said. In fact Timo said years ago that he prefers sertain weight rubber as a fh rubber and if black ones are not available, he takes red ones instead.

Timo's been spotted using Tenergy 09C on his FH.

Dignics 09C has also appeared on the LARC, it's possible he's using that now.

I wish I could have taken a good look at his racket last week.
