Is the Long 5 handle sort of the same as PG7? In the picture they look the same to me.

Ib66 are you using different setup every practice or what?

No not really!! I just enjoy using different stuff, especially at the moment, no competitive clubs matches for almost a year now, and minimal player v player training sessions. So changing equipment isn’t so much of an issue.
Once normality returns, then I’ll have to settle down and choose one set up. (Easier said than done!!!)

At present I’m using the Acoustic/Dynaryz/super ventus set up. At first I had Nittaku H3 Pro orange with PK50 on the Acoustic which I didn’t get on with, put the Dynaryz/super ventus on it and left it for about 2 months without using it. Started using the Donic Dotec blades for a couple of months then thought I’d better try the Acoustic again!!
Getting on well with that set up, also put R48 on Fh of a Dotec which was also really nice. So crisp.
So having tried quite a few set ups this year, for me personally a short list would be -

blades - Acoustic or Dotec Ovtcharov Off, Primorac
rubbers - FH - R48, Dynaryz ACC, Rakza Z, Skyline 3 provincial blue sponge boosted.
- BH - R48, H3 Neo Provincial 37 deg boosted.

I feel I’ve learnt quite a lot about how rubbers play on different blades, what their strong and weaker points are. That sort of thing, it’s all experience at the end of the day. But as they say ‘while the Sun is out, make hay!!!’

I fully understand that changing equipment constantly is not really a good thing and wouldn’t recommend it.

However testing and trying the different equipment has really helped with getting through these tuff times, something to look forward to, something to focus on. ;);)

So results of my fun with aliexpress

Blades:
Palio V1 - now my sons blade
Yinhe N10s - now my second sons blade
Yinhe V14 pro - tried, seemed too fast and stiff, waiting for me to improve
Loki Arthur K5 - Love this one. Techy enough to satisfy my inner geek, woody enough for me to handle.
Loki Arthur Super ZL - Still in box. Fun for the future. Too good of a deal to pass.

Rubbers:
Palio CJ8000 Biotech
Palio CJ8000 Beijing team
Loki Rxton 1
Loki Rxton 3
Loki Rxton 5
Loki N80
Loki GTX
Corbor reactor
Yinhe Big dipper 38
Yinhe Moon speed S,M
Yinhe Sun
Yinhe Jupiter 2 38
Yinhe Sun pro

I think thats enough for some time. My problem is that I cant stand irregularities. Maybe in future I will overcome it, but so far I wasnt able to force myself to glue a rubber to a blade that doesnt match the vendor. So I have Loki rubbers on Loki blades and Yinhe rubbers on Yinhe blades. The exception is the Corbor on N10s but I dont play that so I can stand it :)

How about TMB ALC vs V14 PRO?
My TB ALC is almost 3 years old. Feeling should be very different than a new TB ALC. Plus, I have hit the racket to the table many times.

After transition, I felt the fibers of wood more on V14 Pro. It was tad stiffer plus handle is slightly bigger in palm between thumb and index finger.

It took 2 sessions to get used to it with no huge weird mistakes like you experience with other equipment changes. Playing short needs adjustment, mine caught in the net at the beginning. Topspins should be slightly more brushy.

Now I am happy with it and very confident at powerful shots.

I bought a Butterfly Jonyer-H in 1991 and stopped playing by 1995. I still have that bat.
Recently picked up the sport again and since then I've used:

BLADES:
- Butterfly Petr Korbel (Japan, black tag)
- XIOM Stradivarius
- XIOM All-round S
- Yinhe Mercury Y-15

RUBBERS:
- XIOM Vega Pro
- XIOM Vega X
- XIOM Vega Europe
- Yasaka Rakza 7
- DHS Hurricane 3 Neo
- Yinhe Big Dipper
- Yinhe Earth 2

I just ordered a Harimoto Innerforce ALC with T05 and Andro R42. Hoping it'll cure my EJ Virus LOL
