Hello TT Community,
I started playing table tennis for 6 month ago, im current rated 1450 ish, started at 1000. i had a debut in a higher league match where i nearly won against a player with 1900 ish rating.
currently my setup is Timo boll alc with mx-p max thickness on both sides, i've tried some stuff on the way and maybe you could call me an EJ
, however i do like the journey and trying stuff, i have got a coach once a week and he advised me on the blade not the rubber. however he says that i am fine using mx-p. but as you guys probably have heard before when balls comes fast im quite confident but when i play against player where i myself is the one to generate the speed i sometimes become insecure, overshoot or make simple mistakes due to my inexperience and skill level.
Of couse im still learning but could i simply go "down" in gear would that help the confidence when recieving slow medium high balls with various spin?
I've been talking to a friend of mine and he recommended petr korbel with rozena on it, seems like a legit suggestion if that could help the confidence thing.
What is your take on it? if you want to grill me it's fine some guy might allready have asked this question before
