Slower in my experience. Less bounce and lower topspeed. I would say it is has the same spin capabilities. So you should be able to perform the same quality of shots, just overall slower if you are able to topout G-1, which is not so ez on bh though.

In terms of price Moon 12 is less than 2/3 of G-1 in my country. 24€ compared to 37-41 for the G-1.
So which one i would pick up - probably Moon 12 until i am good enough. Then i would pick Loki Arthur China xD
But i still see the quality of a G-1 and i played that rubber for quite some time on different setups, although mostly on vis-clones.
What i try to say is - G-1 is a bit harder to control but way more rewarding for good technique. Moon 12 forgives soooooo much and you can almost block everything.
you found the truest words right there - the Moon forgives Everythinggg - now I can block my opponents' killshot which I normally can't, I can block the balls even when I'm out of position, so strange

It has less spin capacity, but that's a good thing, I won't have to worry about over-spin the ball, that is to say I can control how much spin I make, or no spin at all. This rubber is all about control, the Moon shines upon us all

Well you used G09c for BH right? I think H45 would be about the same hardness
Yes I used G09c, but hitting the ball doesn't feel hard as it looks like, maybe due to its soft springy technologyX sponge haha. but for me I wouldn't try the rubbers intended for FH, to use as BH, because my wrist is not that strong :(

After I ordered AK47 blue and CJ8000 on July 9th via BEO store on Aliexpress, it just arrived today July 26th. I am going to stick them on my backhand and see how they play. I chose a soft AK47 because I chose a hard version of Big Dipper and I did not like it at all. So let us see if this AK47 blue 38-40 degree lives up to its hype.

Obviously, I will put some booster on it so the earliest I will put it on my blade will be this weekend.

On a side note, the CJ8000 red sheet and the CJ8000 black sheet have different packaging. I guess, welcome to the world of Chinese rubber packaging. It is a mess. So did I get the genuine version according to the packaging? Who knows. I trust BEO store though. But this time the shipment really took a long time.

I am spoiled by TT11 and its fast service so I should probably shut up now.

Yeah I thought Aliexpress has great logistics, but ordering the same rubber from Lazada/Shopee China only takes 4 days, compare to 10 days from Aliexpress

Do you have photos of the CJ8000 package? There's a million version of it so it's easy to get confused lol

Yes, please see below. Top left is black. Top right is red. I also got a Big Dipper 38 degree red. I did not like my Big Dipper 40 degree black before. I decided to give that one more shot. Then there is AK47 blue.

OK, I think they are 1 level of hardness off (36-38 vs 38-41). Maybe you can ask for a refund for one of them?

Got it. Do you like red, harder, or do you like black, softer?
right now I'm using presto max spin at 46 deg on BH. I used to use CJ8000 39-41 on BH, play alright over the table. It's a matter of preference really, for me both CJ8000 are BH rubbers only.

Agree. I don't have high hope for CJ8000. I want to find a perfect BH rubber and it is only $6-$7 a sheet including tax and all fees. Currently I am using Rakza 7 soft and C-1 on the BH so....we will see how CJ8000, AK47 and Big Dipper 38 degree perform on my BH.

I would expect big dipper to be quite different from the rest, whereas ak47 is very likely to be better than the CJ8000s.

I tried 36-38, 38-41, 40-42, 42-44 variations of CJ8000. All lacked power away from the table, and were very slow for my BH (and my FH smashes were also too slow to kill the ball with them). For me, the harder the CJ, the better it was. The softest ones bottom out so easily. They also SUCKED on a wooden blade because of it.

Yes, I think people seem to use big dipper on the forehand. AK47 is more expensive and is probably faster than CJ8000's. I just bought all of them because I was putting a big order on Aliexpress so I was like, why not? Also people seem to like AK47 red more than AK47 blue. I just like my rubber softer so we will see!

they are entry level rubbers that have been there for around 20 years (I think biotech versions are newer but still 10 years ago). Don't expect too much from them.

I might put them the faster carbon blade and see! Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks, that's a pretty objective standpoint. I will probably just stay with G-1. While stable BH blocking sounds attractive for a lefty, for me also the BH open-up and chiquita are equally if not more important. I like a little FTL boosted G-1 since it is helping so much while having grip always. It's very hard to explain but it is supple (like Tenergy) and feels like a 3/4 inflated beach ball, and a solid bouncy ball that kids throw around... Like it's a combination of all of these.
And the grip doesn't come from some top layer coating BS (bullshit, not blue sponge) like in newer ESN thin sheet, thick sponge rubbers, but the actual topsheet material. I suppose this is why it's so durable.

I have tried Moon Speed at 35deg, and for that time the 12EURish price it was awesome. It could be also boosted and felt even better. But this Moon 12 with being a bit dull does sound like more of a control type rubber and not for someone who is seeking opportunities with BH attack.
G1 really has a very durable and wear-resistant topsheet. I can judge this, among other things, by the print of the index finger - on the G1 it is practically absent, unlike many other rubbers, where this matte spot stands out strongly.

Big Dipper is a great rubber, but in my opinion it's still more about forehand. I tried a combination of Jupiter 3 39 forehand and Big Dipper 38 backhand and I didn't like it - no control. Perhaps these rubbers do not match and you need to try a different combination. At the same time, Big Dipper plays well on the forehand, in some ways even better than Jupiter 3, but I like the Jupiter3 / G1 combination more than the Big Dipper / G1 combination. For some reason, G1 loses some of his control when Big Dipper is in front...

thanks for the feedback. I have a blue sponge 729 battle II and have the big dipper 38 degree red. I will put those two on two separate blades, forehand side. and let me see if I like them more than H3 or H3 neo!

Yes, I have Big Dipper H38 red on Viscaria and it feels a bit too hard for my BH now. Measured the sponge 49 on my scale (it is as expected), it's the top-sheet too.
