Faster than h3 yes, also maybe faster than LAC, just a bit less bounce. I dont know how to explain it, but if you hit just a bit "hard" the rubber feels fast, quite dynamic. Topend probably More potential that LAC. Both in speed & spin.

So its not really a perfect clone of H3 then?

If its faster than H3, then by definition its not really the same.

You asked compared to unboosted h3 ( i assume Blue sponge #22) my R9 its factory boosted, i didnt aired it for a long Time like @Tony's Table Tennis did, glued with 2 layers on the blade only.
Anyway i dont think its really necessary to look at Rxton 9 as a perfect clone of H3 National BS, i think its a nice rubber with great quality & performance that can rival H3 National. Maybe with More users we could discover some pros/cons or unique quirks it has that separate it from H3 or maybe we conclude that its a great "clone" for half the price & thats it.
IMHO is still too early, we need More users tests & to look at it objectively when the hype settles 😅

Yes, we need this comparison H3National vs.R9 and it has to be done by players that "routinely "have been using H3 National, I mean not having it used once for a few minutes while borrowing their friends blade 😂

It would be nice to have non DHS Chinese rubber breaking the glass ceiling. I think very few people would spend >20-25 dollars for a Chinese rubber that is not H3. They would rather get a ESN Hybrid or H3 provincial/national.

OTOH, I don't want to get Rxton 9 is very similar to H3 because I dislike DHS too much🤣 Lucky for LOKI I am definitely the minority.

my LAC is holding up well so far after 20 hours, no bubbles yet, slightly oxidized but surface grip and the sponge seem to perform as new. I am seriously considering sticking to LAC on FH if it can last >40 hours without noticeable drop in performance. But then I have 5 new FH rubbers sitting around...

You asked if R9 was faster than unboosted H3...& I Said its faster, More dynamic. But Is spected since im talking about factory boosted R9.
I mean, just test it yourself, speed & feel its very subjective. If you dont like it out of the box add a couple layers of seamoon. The Rubber its great quality.

there will never be any consensus because ALL impressions or "facts" that are given here are subjective. Example: Tony thinks H3 are fast - you think they are slow but the bottom line is that some players can make them go fast and some can not.
For me, again just an example, R5 and Commercial H3 are my bread and butter. Any other rubbers I buy is simply out of curiosity and to satisfy my EJ-addiction and because it is a bit of fun.

It seems they make it in 39° so far its the only difference i saw with the Rxton 9 "National" when open visually they look the same (of course its a low quality livestream so i couldnt see much detail)

It looks pretty cool, i like this line of simple design More (like the Rxton 3 Blue or Rxton 1 special)
Im trying to gather More information such as estimated price & commercial release date. 🤩🏓

Pretty sure they release the 39 version because the 40.5 was considered too hard by some customers. Just get the national if you want it hard.

Meanwhile I am still waiting for color Arthur China...

Weird to put out the national version first and come up with a provincial version some week or maybe months later (depending on when they officially release it).
Now they just have to make a red and softer version too and we have somewhat of a substitute for the Ma Long setup ^^

Yes its kinda weird but i think its due to different departments or teams working in Parallel with multiple products, for example the team in charge of packaging design updates.
