Will JPN choose WD then MD or the other way now? Will Hayata play WD?

Harimoto "best non-Chinese" loses his most critical match 1-2. Clearly Jang's more FH oriented, step around offensive Chinese H3 style was the difference in the match.

But don't worry, Harimoto doesn't need to change anything in his training methods.
Yes, don't change anything then continues to lose to FH dominant player

So JPN doesn't want me to see the WD, presumably Hayata/Harimoto seeing they're not at the bench.

Japan had the option and they chose MD?
Japan is seeded 3 while South Korea is seeded 4th, so I'm pretty sure South Korea had the right to choose. South Korea chose MD first (as they should).

Whoever made the call must be waterboarded. That's treason.

Look up Harimoto's previous 2 matches against JWJ and you will not say that. He was up 3-1 (3-0 if we look further back) in the MS QF of Asian Games 2022 and the score was not even close before his calf cramp.

The bigger problem with Japan is that the selection system has put unnecessary strain on the players and South Korea learned it the hard way in the previous cycle.

That they don't have a high level lefty like Uda or Matsushima for this format is just a function of things not completely their fault.

That said, the games with Jang Woojin and Harimoto have been close recently and coin flips are coin flips. Some people will never change their minds, even as it is obvious that Harimoto is working on his game by losing weight and playing more forehands. They just use anything they can to further their calcified arguments.

Not really surprised. Japan only had the upper hand in singles, and in this format doubles carries more weight. Only way for Japan to have a chance was if Hayata won 3-0 and Harimoto won his match.
