will you be releasing other colors for the GEAR Hyper? like dhs did with hurricane 9(e.g. different colors=different sponge+topsheet technology)?
Hello my friend,

Our designer said we only released Blue Gear Hyper X.pngthis year. However, we don't rule out that other colors of Rubber will be launched in the future, so please stay tuned. (y)

In fact, it takes a long time from the development of our colored rubber to ITTF filing, so we should not withdraw other colored rubbers in a short time.🤔

RamseyThe packaging is changed and also the protective sticky plastic sheet is new.
My question: is there a difference between the Gear Hyper rubbers sold now in 2023/2024 and the rubbers from this review (2019)?
Good morning dear,

How are you? We are glad to see your loving of our equipments.

As you see, our plastic film has been changed by reusable 3rd protect film. However, the rubber itself, has nothing changed.

So any professional reviews in the past are available, kindly pls read them. 🥰

How is the throw angle on the medium soft version compared to ESN rubbers? I assume it's 37-38 degrees hardness.
Hello, the Gear Hyper rubber has three hardness: 37° 38° 39°.

Gear Hyper is a European-style cake sponge with a semi-sticky top sheet. It is a very good choice for players who want to play high-speed rotation looping but are not comfortable with Chinese-style rubber.

Feedback from professional players, many people like to use 39° for their forehand, which does not have a low throwing angle like the Chinese sticky top sheet. It has a relatively high throwing angle.

38° is suitable for both forehand and backhand, and many professional players use a double-sided 38° configuration. This is a popular trend in our opinion.

I personally use the 37° Gear Hyper as my backhand rubber, and I also have experience using the Taiji 2023. If you are a control and blocking player, Taiji 2023 is a better choice. At the same time, Taiji 2023 uses large-hole cake sponge, which makes it very light. For those players who are pursuing an ultra-light racket, this is simply good news.

The Gear Hyper 37° is more aggressive and can produce very powerful backhand looping. When I use the Gear Hyper to perform backhand looping, the ball generates a high and fast secondary bounce after hitting the table, which often makes my opponent caught off guard, but Taiji 2023 did not have such an obvious effect. Similarly, Taiji 2023 is easier to land in the area where I want the ball to land, and Gear Hyper is not that easy to control (due to my personal basic skills).

In my opinion,

Forehand

if you are a professional athlete and want to loop faster and stronger than traditional European rubber, but you are not comfortable with the Chinese sticky top sheet, Gear Hyper is a very good choice.

Backhand

If your backhand skills are very skilled, Gear Hyper can definitely take your backhand lethality to a new level.

playing two / three times per week with this bat: Sanwei Feather Carbon and Sanwei Gear Hyper Blue (medium) on bh. Still looks as new. I clean it with a damp microfiber cloth after playing and then cover it with the sticky protection shield that came with it.

Hi @riemsesy

I saw that you're using the 38° version of Blue Gear Hyper on your backhand. How’s the speed? Are you able to attack well with loops—enough to overpower opponents? Also, what do you think of this rubber overall?

I’m considering the 39° version for my forehand since I play tournaments and need a rubber that can handle aggressive play. Do you think it’s a good choice, or would you recommend something else?

Would love to hear your thoughts!"

Speed is low, and throw angle is low. Apart from the color, the features of this rubber make no sense to me
