Hmmmm. You've been banned from Ooak and mytt? Interesting. More than one forum has banned you?
Not sure why you are bringing it up here. But I would just go on with my business if I was you and not be concerned. I mean, really, does it matter that they don't want you on their forum? And if it is that they have something personal against you, trying to air it on another forum does not really make for such scintillating reading and I am not sure that anyone ends up looking that good from stuff like this, particularly the person complaining.
"Not sure why you are bringing it up here"
I bring it up here because it is something related to table tennis and this is a table tennis forum where people talk about table tennis.
"But I would just go on with my business"
I don't have a business. I have a blog where I put a couple articles when I'm bored. that's it.
people for the most part have no idea what they are talking about when they talk about this stuff.
that's why they see an advertisement in the page and think the guy has a business and is making money which is completely wrong, at least in my case.
I don't have a business and I don't make money off my blog.
"I am not sure that anyone ends up looking that good from stuff like this, particularly the person complaining."
I'm not trying to look good or bad, just communicating what happens in my life.
if you are interested read, if not go to another thread.
again, this is a forum where people just talk about anything as long as it is related to tt.
"I mean, really, does it matter that they don't want you on their forum?"
it doesn't matter in the least if I get kicked out of mytt, of ooak, of tabletennisdaily.
I'm not so stupid.
I could have stopped the discussion hundreds of times in both forums and never get kicked out.
but to me belonging to mytt or ooak or here means nothing that's why many times I pushed the envelope on purpose to get on their nerves and see how far they would go.
if they could just let it go or they would get surpassed by their need to show power and control.
they could have just let it be and things would have calmed down, I would have kept posting a link every now and then (making them a favor because I'm actually posting in their forum) and that would be it.
but they couldn't do that.
they were wrong in both cases (I showed examples of other users who do the same thing as me all the time).
they didn't show respect and interest in keeping me as a user (after all I am their client and each time I read their forum or post in their forum I am working for them and keeping their site alive).
so at some point you could say I wanted to get kicked out.
with time I've began to get tired of posting.
it always ends in a discussion or people saying that you are wrong or nobody reading, etc.
I respect everybody but I've been training tt for about 8 years and having to to get in discussions with a guy who started 3 months ago is too much for me.
same thing when you post, your message has the same importance as a guy who started two weeks ago playing in his garage with his brother.
not saying that I'm always right, but I don't know, I expect something different I guess.
it's like at work, if you've been working for 8 years people will respect you and take what you say seriously.
if you started 3 months ago nobody will care what you say.
well it's not like that in forums.
that's why I'm happier now with my blog where I post what I want without having 3 instant replies going "I disagree bla bla bla".
as for the reputation you talk about, I'm not interested in creating a reputation or in people trusting me because I'm not selling anything to anybody.
I say what I think, if you like it read, if not move on.
