Nah. National with blue sponge cost as much. I don’t think there will be market for itProvincial versions of 8-80 and 8-20 (a hurricane 8 top sheet with H3 orange sponge) are available in stores in China. Only in red tho
yes, it is. But Fan doesn't use that, only tried it temporally, Chen Meng does use it tho
20 sponge also reacts better to booster than 80 sponge I heardLess catapult, but higher top speed. You would need to hit harder. It may be an advantage, or not…

37 or 38
The throw angle of H8 is much lower than D09c but the spin capabilities and speed are similar.Would a 37 or 38 degree H8-20 Provicial be better for me, I’m coming from 09C and i’m planning to boost the H8 with 2 layers booster. It is cheaper to buy H8 than 09C for me
It’s been slightly weird with the throw angle of 09C because I sometimes overshoots the table but I do really like the speed and spin of it. blocking felt way better with 09c than boosted 37 H3N. I really like the feeling of a boosted rubber, so I’ll probably do the 38 version. Lots of ppl still boost 37 rubbers with one layer, so I’m going to boost 38 with one layer and if it feels off to me i’ll add another layerThe throw angle of H8 is much lower than D09c but the spin capabilities and speed are similar.
D09c has a sponge hardness which is approximately 38 degrees on the Chinese scale, so even an unboosted H8-20 will have comparable hardness to D09c.
I would advise against boosting 37 degree rubber, because it will become too soft and mushy. For 38 degrees you may want to boost lightly with only one layer.
According to TT11, Hurricane 8 is intended to be played without booster -- it is pre-boosted at the factory. I am not sure if this applies to Hurricane 8-20 as well. If it arrives in a vacuum-sealed package, you can assume that it is already boosted at the factory.
But I think the #20 sponge is meant to be boosted no? Since it is same sponge that is found on H3NI am not sure if this applies to Hurricane 8-20 as well.
What's the purpose of H8-20? Isn't the reason people want to use H8 because it is faster than H3 #20?But I think the #20 sponge is meant to be boosted no? Since it is same sponge that is found on H3N
The top sheet I believe is more elastic than H3. So it’s a faster feeling H3 if boosted I assumeWhat's the purpose of H8-20? Isn't the reason people want to use H8 because it is faster than H3 #20?
Probably H8-20 is heavier. #20 sponge is denser than #80 sponge.Does someone know if the H8-20 is lighter than the H8-80?
