H3 Commercial or Provincial?

Don’t know which to get, saw the TT11 video on all H3 but they said there’s little difference between all 4 variants they tested. I am going to boost with probably 2 layers.

1. Pro neo blue sponge is the best you can get for FH - some efforts are required to generate power but worth it
2. Pro neo orange sponge is easier to engage, but less powerful than blue sponge
3. Market neo is also good, it has more control, hence the sponge is a bit denser than pro (works great with BH)

if you are not familiar with H3, then 39 degrees will probably be the easiest to use, it's playing more like a hybrid. while 40 degrees and upper will be much harder to play

I have heard that H3Neo responds better to booster than regular H3. I think this may actually be true...

But I'm not experienced enough to say for sure.

Can anybody who has boosted multiple H3 and H3N confirm?

2.1 has the best feeling. i use 41 because i boost 2-3 layers. I think 39 is easy to play and beginner friendly - the safest bet would be 40

No, I can't confirm this but I boost both directly (without a glue layer/remove glue layer from H3N) and use very thin booster layers until they dome enough. It might be the case though that some of the chemicals that DHS uses simply evaporate because the regular H3s are not vacuum-packed.

Sponge hardness: I would say start with 39°. Simple reason: The harder the sponge the better one has to be in position for each and every loop. 40° and more are for sure more powerful (and imo better suited when one has or wants to block a lot) but are more demanding. 38° and below are more suited for backhand.

38 is very easy to use, much bouncier than 40 (I'm using market neo 38 on my BH), sometimes I switch it on FH to smash

Like many before said get 39-40deg H3N prov blue sponge for forehand if you are serious. The provincial orange is not much cheaper. Provincial BS H3N or the national version is very light. So one can use a heavy backhand rubber with it if that's your thing. The new ESN rubbers easily go up to 50-52g and the H3N blue sponge even boosted around 46-47g.
Of course if you use a Butterfly rubber on backhand your setup will be lighter since these are usually around 45-48g.

H3N orange sponge is usually heavier more like in the 50g range which is still not too bad.

Weight is a topic many overlook until they assemble their racket and it's 198g and then the head scratching begins.

Hi guys thanks for responding, the NEO version is pretty expensive here compared the normal one, I plan to not boost it since I am used to the H3 Commercial without boosted. Which blade would fit better? PG7 or the PG5X I have both of them but I used the 7 more than the 5X. I think that the 7 would be too slow for the H3 Pro BS.

it depends on how hard your blade is. H39 tend to go very well with a hard blade, while H40 suits a soft blade better. Since PG7 has limba outer it can goes well with H40

If you correctly wrote the blades' names, then 5X is way better for any Hurricane 3 rubber. Playing Hurricane 3 without carbon is incredibly hard and requires lots of stamina.
Personally, I switched from H3N because during long tournaments my stamina started to crumble. Can't imagine how I would've felt if I had played H3N without the extra kick from carbon.
