Gluing my first blade - watching all the tutorials and it’s going fine. Go to stick my rubber down and fuck up the placement, then I try pull it off and the glue is all uneven and pulled up. Can’t get all of the glue of evenly. I’ve tried rubbing but won’t work - tried applying another thin layer of glue to see if I could pull it all off in one go but won’t work.

Am I okay to glue it down even if some of the rubber has little mounds of dried glue?

Using rakza 7 and dhs no15 glue - please help.

Yes. All these things don't really matter. Let the glue dry and then remove it if you want and do another layer. Or glue it on and maybe it might be slightly uneven but it won't be much if it is mostly flat. People obsess over glue jobs but the most important thing is a good bond between rubber and blade across the whole playing surface. If you get this, other things may matter a bit but are far far far less important.

sounds like some glue is removed, some not,
so it will be very uneven
possible many bumps

yeh tried gluing it on but it was clearly raised in places from the glue - nothing to do with air bubbles. When trying to remove it’s just taking pieces of the sponge with it. Fear the rubber is done
make sure the glue layers are thick enough, then it is easier to remove
hence i said put at least 3 more layers on

for positioning - put the paper the rubber comes with on the blade and leave a gap by the handle
so when you measure and position, you can reset, since the contact area is very little.
does that make sense?
Is the rubber too damaged to use? Now covered in little holes where the glue has pulled the sponge off

when you reglue,
Put 3 layers of no15 on
it won't be too noticeable.
just make sure it is dry enough, because the glue that will go into the hole, will take longer to dry

Removing needs patience mostly.
It needs to waste a bit more glue.
You may glue and stick on blade and remove after a while.

And while removing glue, try to peel slowly rather than rubbing.

Small damage pores are not much noticeable, still usable even with some bigger ones.

Unevenly glued rubbers play fine in my experience. I win with them just as much as I win with evenly glued ones. Don't get me wrong, it is good to care about the flatness of your rubber, but one shouldn't care about it if the main concern is that it will make them play noticeably worse. What really matters is when the adhesion is bad and you feel as if the wood is not hitting the ball through the rubber or the sound is bad and dead.
