Damn, that was a firecracker of a match between LSD and Harimoto. Both players were at the top of their games, so many amazing rallies which exemplify modern TT. If both LYJ and LSD perform at their best, we should see something very similar tomorrow!

zeio, why does it seem funny to you for calling people names?
is it suppose to be funny?
你真係識條鐵

For those who didn't click the links, Abe dominated the judo scene and remained unbeaten for 5 years (49-match winning streak) ahead of Paris 2024 and ultimately defended his Olympic gold in his weight class. His given name happens to mean 1-2-3, the scores for Duda.

i know where it comes from, but why dont' just have your joke and continue call him LSD?
I think this is a terrible part of chinese culture, giving people names, including that of if it is rude or boarder line abuse and thinking it is funny or normal.

Like some Chinese people will see black people and call them little black
white people little white (no racism, but still sounds wrong in the international society)
fat people little fat or fatting

why do you have to do that?
I mean, people do that to each other because they are very close and are friends, but you and LSD, not close at all.
never the less, plain simple, not everyone will see the 1-2-3 and link it, so I'm not sure on your purpose

But Tony, why would we expect the intentions of others here are primarily not good or innocent?

Even you initially treated scrubplayer with respect, later benevolently, later less benevolently and so on ;-)

I didn't see anything malicious in zeio's comment. If something, than it is respect, because Abe is incredible. And all that even thought Duda had a bad day, yet I didn't consider zeio's comment disrespectful, even not to Duda... Cheers and peace.

yeah, but my last bit,
if you didn't see the 1-2-3 and just read this:

Harimoto 2-3 Hifumi?

zeio does have a history of giving professional players names. so it isn't the first time (irrespective on what he calls them)
i mean, he wants to share information for people to read
miwa is know as harimoto
the brother is harimoto's brother or something like that

So how I can read is Miwa lost 2-3 to Hifumi

this is different to say generlized names already, like cloud walker, or silent assassin (maybe zeio thinks he is adam bobrow)

ps, scrubplayer is officially known as hobby player. I should even ask carl i we can rename is username to that, haha

Don't try to get into other people heads, it's their own thing as long as it doesn't hurt anybody. Let zeio be zeio, scrubplayer be scrubplayer.

Other thing is that scrubplayer disinforms people, zeio just gives nicknames to players - two different things. Hence I ignored scrubplayer.

I read this forum for quite some time and zeio seems to me like a brainy dude with lots of information on his hands, but may be not the best in terms of spreading that info.

some from within the CNT circle are praying he is the future post WCQ
you might not be wrong or far off
He is already good enough to be the number 4 or 5 player on the Chinese men's roster depending on Ma Long's retirement decision.
Lin's skill set has what Chinese coaches prefer: possessing strong weapons with no obvious shortcomings, plus mental strength (cool and collected at the critical moments).
Lin's strong skill set is obviously his backhand. When he first entered international scenes, his weakness was his forehand relying too much on his backhand. Since then, his forehand is greatly enhanced making him a strong player from both wings. Besides, he is also great away from the table winning many points lobbing and looping there. His backhand loop far away from the table is fascinating to see.
Currently Lin has been dealing the balance between consistency and power for his backhand. It will take time for him to sort through.
Interestingly, Xiang Peng, from the same class with Lin, was the most promising young star then. Xiang has a very mature game with a great forehand for a young player. However, his progress has stalled since he entered the national team. He will remain to be a roster filler.

Harimoto sibling, brother is down and the little sister is still standing. However, Miwa's next opponent is Chen Xintong who's impenetrable backhand rally possesses a challenge for all Japanese players except choppers. If Miwa can pass Chen, she will be the only Japanese surviver for the tournament, men or women.

Kihara is still in it.
