LSD is therefore the more complete player than WCQ.
Yes, away from the table, LSD is far better than WCQ. Far away from the table play, a very rare feat for young players, but LSD has already shown he has the craft to do that. His long range backhand loop is fascinating to see and can rival anyone in the game.

LSD and Miwa are two of the brightest stars in Macao tournament. One is already out after an impressive battle with the number one player in the world. The other is moving on to the final after a convincing victory also against the number one player on man's side.

If LSD can beat Qiu, which I think he will, he will be the biggest winner of the event and a very welcome surprise to the Chinese coaches. He will be given more opportunity on the international stage and will be placed on the top tier of Chinese men's team.

With the core of WCQ, FZD and LSD, The fate of Chinese men's team will still be in good hands.

SYS has a really subtle difference between her BH dead and topspin block/counter which looks almost the same - this caused some huge issues for Miwa who was just making 1001 unforced errors due to this variation. I need to learn some of this magic. I feel like my variation is there but it is nowhere as imperceptible as what SYS is doing

It's safe to say after this match that SYS can't come out on top in FH rallies now that she has consistently turned to BH to contain Harimoto since WTT F Nagoya 2023. Provided Harimoto scales this wall, the threat she poses to the CNT will be unprecedented, which is 硬橋硬馬真功夫/real kung-fu backed by solid fundamentals, unlike Hirano (topspin game better than backspin game, FH-BH imbalance from lack of reach and hence focus on BH side) and Ito (inherent weakness of shortpips, reliance on serve-and-attack also from lack of reach and hence make-or-break FH).

I am not ready to say Miwa has a better forehand than Sun. Niwa needs to crack one of 3 top tier Chinese top women(SYS, WMY and CM) first.

For those buying tickets….
102~105 and 201~205 were all very upset

I assumed it was a hanging camera and didn't think about it possibly being an issue when I bought tickets last year for the Frankfurt Champions. I don't even understand the point of using a telescope camera because it never changes height during the point and comes down after every point for some reason (automatically?). The layout was mirrored in Frankfurt last year, but this year they have turned the table by 90 degrees so the left wing will be screwed. The solution would be to put the camera on the side of the player entrance, but they aren't doing that since in Macao it would give us the superior angle. There really should be a notice of the placement when you buy tickets. (sorry for all the edits)

EDIT: I have to correct myself, the camera changes height when players go way behind the table. They don't use that setup in Feeders or Contenders where it's possible that a player is out of view like Hashimoto against Odo.

Equipment check: Butterfly is advertising Miwa as using Harimoto Super ALC plus Dignics 09c plus Dignics 05. And Tomo as using Harimoto ALC plus 2 Dignics 05. Thoughts?:unsure::unsure:
Tomo can't handle the Super ALC.

Without Chen Meng and a healthy Wang Manyu. However, one can always say a win is a win.
It’s not easy for SYS, or every OG player. She’s not yet recovered from the OG,

XD, WS, WT, finished 61 games in total;
only Shin Yubin in a similar situation.

and the past month, these gold medalists involved in a full schedule of public events, without any systematic training; and the last event should be the Hongkong&Macau ceremony finished on Sep.2.

I think WMY got injured also for this reason.

Whole 2024 has been crazy scheduling
We need to make a "who isn't injured" list
