As a tall dude with large hands myself (6.2), I still prefer FL handles as they are slightly bigger than their ST counterparts (usually ST blades weight 3-4 grams less due to smaller handles).
Also, an ST handle feels less secure during play sessions, as I feel it's gonna drop during powerful shots LOL.

Moreover, I find thin handles have an advantage of having extra space for making a bigger "pendulum" movement to the ball during topspins, resulting in more power.

I'm surprised there are not more options out there for larger handles. Virtually all handle pieces are 100mm long, why not make some blade with longer handles for people with bigger hand, like 110mm? The handle thickness can be increased with grip tape (although not everyone like this, I get that!), but there's no easy way to extend the handle.

This annoys me too.
My solution is to start a big handle database. Since I am a White belt EJ, in infancy, I can only share a few blades Ive personally handled with LG handles for full size men.
1. Yasaka Masamune ST: God's own handle, although it is NOT long.
2. Tibhar stratus power wood ST. Burly

I've seen gewo in FL that look promising but have never held the ST
Who else can add any other blades?

I did a bit if research and seems like a lot of folk are saying that sanwei flextra 7 is great for big hands. Found a really good deal on Aliexpress for $18, just wanted to test it out and see if I like ST handles before I shell out more $$$ for other recs. Who knows maybe I like it enough to become a main driver :)
Good choice.

Fextra 7 is a blade that so many people own and is pretty much unbeatable for the price. I used it for a year and a half when getting started and owned 3 of them (one which I gave away to a friend who liked using it).

It's also a good reference blade. In the future when you want to talk about characteristics of the blade, people will be able to give you good advice based on their knowledge of it.

If you still have time, try to specify a weight for it. When I started, an 83 gram version felt good. Now I like 86-88 gram range. If you get something that's like 93+ grams it might feel a bit stiffer and faster.

I have no experience with large flared handles but have dabbled a fair bit with larger straight handles including ordering a larger number of custom blades from Sergio, Hipnotic. What ive found is that shape of the handle as well as of the wings matter quite a bit in addition to actual handle size. A more squarish shape feels larger than a rounded shape. Also it doesn’t take that many mm to get a much chunkier feel. 105x29x24 is plenty large for me. I once ordered a 115x32x27mm square straight handle, that was playable but the movement of the wrist gets a bit restricted at that size.

If someone has actually tried the Omar Assar large flared - I’m also curious

Talking about big ST handle, the biggest that I have tried is Tibhar Force Pro Black Edition. And 2nd is Tibhar Stratus Carbon (which I think is supposed to be similar in size with Tibhar Power Wood).
Yes they have nice solid handles, I like them too, and they're not even longer than standard handles (100mm), but because the neck of the blade is a little narrow, you can put your hand further up the blade, making it seem longer.

Donic J-O Waldner Gold edition has a fairly large handle.

White belt EJ made me laugh :)

Thank you everyone for suggestions! I almost bought tibhar status power wood, heard it has a larger handle. We'll see how this sanwei blade pans out and when I switch I might go for status power wood or a carbon alternative that's been suggested (currently using inner carbon blade).

I had Stratus Power Defense. Handle was comfortable. I guess Power Wood has same size handle

From a blade builder perspective, most of my customers with large hands request straight handles, some of them anatomic and I think the least percentage would be flared. In fact I don't remember ever making an exceptionally large FL handle, but I did make some very big straight handles. A FL handle is already heavier than ST to begin with, if you increase the dimensions proportionally you end up with even more weight on the blade. With ST it's much easier to achieve a bulkier handle, like Antolan pointed out, just by playing with the radius of the profile, without necessarily increasing the dimensions. On the other hand, it's also easier to increase the length, which is what some players want, while keeping the handle proportional.

This is great insight, thank you for chiming in. I'm glad I'm on the right path then (with going for ST handles)!

I think the biggest ST handle I ever used was the Gewo Zoom Pro. Larger than my SPWs. Its too bad they don't make the Stiga Peter style straight handle, larger than the current Classic style straight handle and more comfy for me. I think the largest flared handle I ever saw was the Stiga Alser style, predecessor to the Legend style handle
