Tested B3 tonight on an outer super zlc blade. Boosted heavily with 2 layers of Comet (I had to boost it with thick layers because the sponge absorbs the booster too fast). What a blast ! Nuclear topspin, I was a wall in the blocking department and was still able to do dropshot, short pushes quite easily.
Feels softer than my B2 provincial, I think when I'm done with the B2 I'll glue a B3 in replacement

Table Tennis Racket Rubber Cover - National Team Special Edition

No need for additional boosting glue

The blue sponge of this rubber has excellent elasticity, providing a very clear hitting sensation and significantly increased ball speed. The tacky surface makes control easier, whether for looping or chopping, delivering great performance.

Seems like an already boosted B2 national

B2 gold arrived. Yeah... B2 gold is the best from the Battle 2 series without a doubt. B3 very different, I think B3 is more suited for inner carbon blades if I have to be honest.

B2 gold feels great on Viscaria type blade and it's light too. Fully boosted with glue it's 50g. I'm not missing anything from H3N BS to be honest, weight is kind of similar enough, B2 gold is faster, and bugger me if I can tell which one is spinnier, both are very spinny. B2 can hold the ball for several seconds so it's more sticky and it's faster so that is not an easy feat. I boosted it with 3 light layers of Haifu white oil.

How is B2 Gold different from B3?

I have only tried B2 Blue Sponge provincial, but how is B2 Gold? I find B2 Blue sponge has a bit low throw angle, but the dwell and grip is great. Speed is just medium

b2 gold is better than b2 nat ? But I want to try B2 nat xD
You can try. If you want a bit softer sponge, the 729 blue sponge is softer and way less elastic so if that is what you're looking for then B2 nat is better for you. Otherwise skip.

B3 has harder topsheet, it does more work, it's more elastic. If you like the rubber to work for you then B3 is a good choice. But you will need to use more power too, it takes more effort to stretch that topsheet. Which is why I think it works better on inner blades. I feel outer blades ping off too fast. If you can hit it very hard then it works well but chances are you can't always hit hard enough.
B2 gold is pretty fast but also has that H3N BS-like lazyness. Like you can really wind up the ball in the topsheet and the sponge. Just easier to get the ball into the rubber and sponge and you have a bit more contact time.

Is B2 gold spinnier than B3 ?
If you hit it with great power I think so. Not by much and maybe the extra force and space you need to make such a powerful shot doesn't pay off in a match.

B2 gold is more friendly to use and I don't see a big detriment to it. Also dirt cheap so... With 11.11 coming maybe there will be some bargains. One can just order 5 sheets or something lol.

Not sure I fully understand 729. The gold edition comes in a vacuum pack but it doesn't seem to be boosted or if it is it's just barely. No glue layer either. B2 nat, B2 prov blue, B2 prov orange etc etc come in normal plastic pack. B3 also in just normal plastic pack. Don't get it but whatever.

B2 Gold smells af. I'm sure it's factory boosted.
It's a great rubber to use but for me 40 deg is a bit too hard. I wish they released B2 Gold 39 cause I really like BS Prov 39 but i feel it lacks some bite on the ball and the grip is not that close to B2 Gold.
I boosted B2 Gold with 2 Seamoon and 2 baby oil layers. Now it's too fast for me and i can't handle it so my loops became less spinny(can't brush that properly) than w/o booster. And the topsheet became less grippy cause it got some tension.

I took it off and glued my good old STN. What a bless!

B2 Gold definitely worth each penny but for me it's a bit hard w/o booster

Battle 3 is much better on W968 than on hard outer carbon blades. Makes sense why it was also better on Cybershape carbon.

W968 B3 on FH side and V>15BH, or G1 backhand is a pretty good combo if I have to say.
Strangely B3 feels faster on the W968 than on a Viscaria or something like that. Maybe it has to do with the arc the W968 creates vs something like a Viscaria and you can just hit more foreward without worrying about the net so much. Not sure, but feels that way.

Wow, do you use protection sheets after cleaning?
Have 2 Bloom Power and 2 Bloom Spin at higher age [2-3 Years) and can still lift the ball for seconds. Still more tacky than any hybrid rubber...
My 6 years old Bloom Power is still as sticky as can be and far more sticky than any other Chinese/non-Chinese rubber. I have it along with a Bloom Speed on the two sides of a 2014 Butterfly Innerforce ALC (much better wood quality than new batches).

I always clean the rubbers after each session with filtered water (never those useless rubber cleaners) - often multiple times in a session if the location is dusty - and use adhesive protect sheets and use a roller (or hands) to remove bubbles under the adhesive sheet. The bat is stored in good quality padded cases (Tibhar Hong Kong).

It still plays as good as new.

Disclaimer: I have over 100 bats and that one is not the only bat I have played with in the 6 years 🙂
