Just a word of warning to those buying Loki Rxton 9.

I've been trying to use the Rxton 9 for the past few weeks but have been disappointed in the performance. The sponge felt rather dead and it was difficult to get any spin out of it.

I replaced it with a Jupiter 3 39d sheet. When I removed the Rxton 9 sheet and weighed it, it came in at only 45 grams. That is WAY too light for a supposed max 40.5d FH rubber.

So I only can conclude that I got a substandard sheet of Rxton 9.

A warning to those who have bought a sheet of Rxton 9: Weigh it first. If you get an uncut sheet that only weighs only 65 grams like mine did, seriously consider returning it.
My Rxton 9 is 62g uncut but it plays fine for me. Not very fast but definitely spinny. For reference it was glued on a FZD ALC.

I always claimed that there were ""AT LEAST "" 2 different versions sold of the Rxton 9. Mine had sponge thickness of 1.8mm and was hard as old leather there was no stickiness in the top rubber and little grip.
Short: It was a complete dog of a rubber.

A club mate, a dedicated BH-pusher and blocker is very happy with it though and it will probably last her a life time. 🤣🤣🤣

It's quite common for the smaller Chinese manufacturer to outsource the manufacturing of their rubbers, and they would likely pick the cheapest quote at any one time. As a result, you'll get cheap rubber which might be really good, but it can vary hugely depending in which factory made it.
I can't be sure that this is the case for this particular rubber, there may indeed be more than one version, but it's definitely true for some of the Chinese brands.

man whats up with all the pro version of rxton lineup popping up???

theres a rxton 1 pro now and i seriously doubt that it plays better than the entry-level rubber the rxton 1s are supposed to be
It is the usual "gamble" 😁
The usual promises are being made of "bigger-better-faster-stickier- grippier et.etc. "
But indeed it always like old forest gump's box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get. Sometimes you are lucky , sometimes not.
Examples: Rxton5 pro is a bit rubbish
Rxton 3 pro is absolutely loverly 😁

It would be useful if the manufacturer immediately wrote about the differences between the versions, so as not to dig through the forums.

Let's try to summarize...

After 103 pages, a lot of money spent on rubbers, booster, glue (God only knows how many layers of glue wasted), shipping costs...

What's the best Loki FH rubber for an intermediate-advanced player?

Im on a slight different page actually.

Fh: boosted rxton 9
Bh: lac as it is. If it is too slow, your technique is not capable to handle harder chinese rubbers.
For fh lac quality is too low otherwise you could use it both sides probably as well as you can play rxton 9 on fh.

Didnt test the telson rubber and rxton 7 so iam not sure if they could challenge lac on bh for me.
And the feedback on these rubbers differ too much on this website for my taste😅
So i might test them myself some time next year in the off season

Every rubber choice is player dependant. Even two similar players will have different feelings and will prefer such or such rubber. We all agree that all Loki rubbers are very good. I don't think anyone would make a big mistake if he takes LAC, LAA, R7 or R9. Even Telson is very good, although it's not tacky.

Anyone here that can tell the differences between the Loki T3, Kirin K3 and Kirin K5? I read they might be very similar, but also heard otherwise.

Also, I saw a seller selling a T3 W81 version. Anyone know what this is and how it performs perhaps?
I think T3 uses a harder, medium pore sponge. K3 uses a big pore sponge like Rxton 3. And K5 uses a dense sponge like Rxton 5.

K1 probably uses a medium pore sponge like Rxton 1.

My hope is that they react strongly to booster...but maybe not really

T3 W81 was a supposed to be a special more grippy version of T3. So if its like T3 but with more spin it should be quite a decent Non Sticky rubber for the BH if you find it cheap.
Kirin K3 i tested have decent bounce, not that bad grip, pretty good speed on a K2 blade. I sold it to one of my begginers students and he can hit quite speedy BH drives already.
Kirin K5 just came out so there isnt much reviews yet.

Did you try K1?

How is K3 vs T3? Both are pretty cheap for singles day
