Why does everybody say Pro 05 is HL5 clone?

It's only a matter of personal preference. I prefer the 05 feeling over every other blades I tested.
Yes? Can you describe the feeling about the 05? I don't like the Atletico Power feeling because it seems more dense, more solid, more thick, a bit bricky. It feels linear and lacks that sense of springy trampoline feel.

75 inner has a lighter and bouncier and flexier feeling.

I submitted refund for Pro 05. They may grant a full refund or offer a partial refund to keep the blade. Should I just keep it if its a decent partial refund? I think they will only offer $5 or so

I think it's really strange to not even try
I MIGHT still give it a try...but I have had multiple experiences with this type of blade.

I got the Yasaka Atletico Power, which is called a w968 alternative. I really don't like it.
I got the Telson China, which I thought was meant to be like Long 5, but I didn't like it.
I got the XVT ZL600, which is called w968 structure, but it really isn't the same feeling.

A part of me wants to try it. But you know...fool me twice, shame on me. This would be my 4th try at this type of Long5X structure.

At this point it seems you're so eager to play a HL5... You should get a HL5
My favorite blade is the Stuor Harimoto. It has the catch and flex like the HL5, but it is snappier and more responsive.

So I'm really trying to look for something that combines both of those traits. I'm hoping the W81 does it.
HL5 lacks the responsiveness.

From what you're saying the Pro 05 won't meet your expectation of a HL5 clone.
Not as "snappy" as you describe it.

Pro 05 is different from my GHL5.
GHL5 has more lower and medium gears, Pro 05 gets fast and powerful with less effort.

I personally like it a lot, as others have said, it has great feeling, a usual Limba-inner forehand easy to loop hard and fast with a lot of spin and control and decent dwell time, an unusually strong backhand for a Limba-inner blade and high quality Yinhe craftsmanship
Imo, it also has the best handle out of all blades I tried.

If you want your $35 back, get your refund.
Otherwise I'd say keep it, maybe you'll like it eventually.

But in the end, you/we are talking about EJing here and not really finding what's "best" for us.

Yes, this is just EJ, but I'd like to have a portfolio of blades that I really like.

Have you ever tried Atletico Power or HL5X?

Does Pro 05 feel like those?

Mine is even 1360 after applying Gewo sealant.
Have you tried w81? I ordered it and I'm waiting for it to arrive, a friend of mine is in China right now and can bring me a w968 provincial. I'm currently using viscaria, I want a slower inner blade from Viscaria, how is w81? should I settle for that? Or should I get w968 while I have the chance?

So you want more blades like the Stuor Harimoto.

Haven't tried either of them but your description of the AP sounds somewhat similar to the Pro 05.

If you didn't like any of the other thicker core-inner Limba blades, you might also not like the Pro 05 either.

Although I have to say, nearly everyone who tried my Pro 05 racket liked it and played better with it.

But you could also "re-invest" the refund money from the Pro 05 and find something that you like more and expand our knowledge of EJ-Inner blades.

This one for example:

It's not a brick, it's kind of smothered, softened. I like this feeling also on my tennis blades.

w81 is nice but quite woody compared to the Yinhe 05. It's not a flaw, but I like it less. It's a good fit with Rxton 9 and Telson 100. I will try it more after the end of the 1st phase of squad championship.

Hmm. I think this is the feeling that I don't like.

I like my blade to feel snappy, like it is bending and then snaps back in place very quickly. With the Atletico Power and Telson China, I felt the blade never bent at all. The core is too thick. So it kinda feels like playing with a brick with soft layer on the surface of the brick.

Is the Pro 05 like that?
