I got curious about this blade and bought a 88g copy. I have to agree that it is a fantastic blade, absolutely slept on. Plays exactly like what the composition suggests, basically a viscaria with spread out alc and limba outer (airier, softer, more controlled, spinnier but still explosive when you attack!). The carbon being spread thinner also makes it more elastic than typical alc blades, with clearer feel and also much easier to engage. The control is really phenomenal on both fh and bh. The handle is long and thin so better to hold in hand first before buying. I'm using grip tape but might just swap the handle out completely. Being an EJ, I have bought, tried, sold so many blades, i just like to try things and dont keep them in collection, but this blade I will keep because of those qualities. My main blade is 968. Also, this blade truly works with BOTH chinese (H3) and hybrid rubber (codexx 55 pro). This is truly a complete blade guys.

In summary: fantastic ball feedback, excellent control and fun to use :)

I was really considering this blade because it’s the exact composition as an Acoustic Carbon Inner, but with ALC/textreme (I believe that’s basically what spread tow carbon is, and where they got the name from). Which seems like an updated version of the Nittaku. It’s a shame they don’t market this blade more.

The Donic Xtreme turned out to be possibly the best blade of them all. Absolutely amazing control and feeling and great power for mid to long distance play. This blade has caused my win percentage to be close to 100% in my club (I hardly ever lose with this blade). For reference, I'm USATT 2000.
I hope Dan and the TTD gang do a video review of this blade. They haven't been doing any reviews lately? From memory, the last (and first?) Donic blade Dan reviewed was Dima's Original Senso.

Hi, I'm trying it out.
My other blade is an FZD ALC.
The Donic is a bit faster and more direct. It has a bit less spin.
The handle is very thin.
This is a problem for me. I don't like using grip tape. It adds weight to the handle and changes the blade's response.
I'd like to ask about this. How does adding a few grams of grip tape affect it? Is the trajectory straighter? Or is it more curved?
Thanks.

Are the rubbers you use on both blades the same? Cause it doesn't make sense to me that Xtreme has less spin than FZD ALC because of the softer limba wood compared to harder koto wood.

Hi, yes, I'm currently using the Gewo Nexxus 43 in FH and the Xiom Vega Intro. The same rubbers on both blades. The Donic is a bit faster, and I think the FZD holds the ball a bit better. The blades weigh the same, 88g. Regards.
Thanks. Then it probably is because of the ayous middle layer in FZD ALC.

New season means new blade(s)! :)

Deciding between the Synteliac VCI and Donic Xtreme! Which one is slower and more controlable? Or should I just get both? Are they similar at all?

Going to pair them with either NUZN 48/45 or Donic A3/Z2 on FH and Donic Bluegrip M2 on BH.

Right now I'm using a Xiom HAL 2nd gen with Xiom J&H X47,5 on FH and Vega Korea on BH, if that makes it easier for you to point me towards one of the choices.
