Hi guys

I’m looking at anyone who can give detail comparison of these blades. I been using FZD alc with H3N bs on fh and D05 on bh and considering/curious in trying the fzdsalc.

Just strictly looking at a comparison of these 2 blades plse. I couldn’t find details anywhere that’s in English.

The SALC is a faster blade that feels like it plays similarly. If you are someone with excellent touch looking for more speed, it is an option. Otherwise, you may just prefer the ALC. The SALC is definitely the fastest looping ALC blades that Butterfly currently produces.

I have ok touch could be better, I mainly attack both wings. If it feels similar to FZD alc with greater speed without compromising spin and control too much. Certainly don’t want to affect serves as I serve well. Would u say it excels in blocking bit more?

I find in some venues the FZD is great and some lacks a tad speed to finish the point but I don’t mind long rallies and I do use varying spin but I have found I’m going for more faster shots than spin recently.

It has greater blocking and looping speed but it feels like a slower blade. So you might shoot the ball a bit long on some shots but if you adapt, you will feel you can play exactly the same way but the blade in reality is a bit faster. So ALC is a bit more all round while SALC is more offensive. Of course they are both offensive blades.

Anyone else have any input?
I used to have Viscaria Super ALC which is basically the same thing as FZD SALC and I also owned FZD ALC and Viscaria. The SALC is faster with a lower arc, so forehand shots might take some getting used to esp with H3. The BH is better imo on SALC than ALC. It’s really just pure preference over whether or not your willing to pay more for a faster, slightly lower arc version of your FZD ALC

I do not own but have tried a few "super" alc and zlc, important declaimer - my player level is relatively low, my 5 cents are to stay away from the "super" variants unless you can try them and it clicks with you, I never liked the feeling and response when hitting the ball with those blades unlike lets say a good old viscaria or a regular innerforce alc, it feels like the advantage of alc is lost with the super variants, but that just might be my player level.

If that’s the difference then yes I would do. It’s seems like I have the itch for it to try at least. If I could have a blade with lgy bh and FZD fh that would be perfect. There’s something extra about lgy alc on bh but the transition from bh to fh on lgy just doesn’t feel smooth however FZD is smooth both sides.

If the SALC is faster than the alc without losing some of the other characteristics of alc then great and blocking with SALC would be sharper and faster.

Yeah SALC retains the majority of flexibility of ALC while being faster and a bit more direct. You should have a lot of fun with the blocking and switching from FH to BH
