It seems like Taiwan's hard work in developing young players is really starting to pay off so I think this thread deserves a bump. Just recently, 17 yr old Yeh Yi-Tian has had some great results in WS beating veterans such as Joo Cheonhui and Suthasini Sawettabut and a top junior from China, Zong Geman. She plays like a veteran with good consistency and power from both wings. And in MS, 16 yr old Kuo Guan-Hong just beat Xiang Peng of China. A lefty who is a bit taller than LYJ. Not fancy, but very solid receives. Has a more powerful forehand than LYJ did at the same age. Loves to take incoming loops off the bounce or top of the bounce and drive at hard right back it his opponent. Really looking forward to seeing their progress as well as any other up and coming players from Taiwan. @Tony's Table Tennis , from time to time, if you have any info on them, it would be great to hear about it. Congratulations, Team Taiwan on making great progress!

thank you!!
are credits to the players that put in hard work and making sacrifices.

One thing to note, both Kuo and Yeh has similar styles.
They are not necessary strong on one end, but rather they are very consistent and keep on putting the ball back. In other words, they are strong in rallies.

bot Kuo and Yeh are very young and have shown great maturity in WTT events the past 10 days.
Kuo also beaten Feng Yi-Hsin in the last week of Dec, so it isn't a one shot wonder with the performance against XP.

One of my players Chang Yu-An lost 3 times to Kuo, so we need to work out to break this streak.

There is another young women player that did should some resistance in Chen Min-Hsin. She beating a lot of senior players in December - many of them WR50~80.

It is pleasing to see the depth is coming out in numbers.
There are also other youngsters, but due to NER, they could only play in Linz, winning both the U19 and U17 titles - both of those Wu girls are in the senior national team this year too. Ages 17 and 16 (L: Wu Jian-En, R: Wu Ying-Syuan)
