it depends a lot on the player, look at Kim Kum Yong, destroyed everyone at the asian championship. Usually pips player have some weakness they cover with their pips, but for Sabine I believe it's different ! Very good fh, less good backside bh compared to the best but still way better than the pips women.

Kim kum yong did well because she is not a passive blocker. She has higher friction pips and can HIT with them -- this renders the loop 1 push 1 technique pretty invalid. The Indians usually use grass d.tecs ox, which is low grip and hard to hit with. This makes them more prone to being trapped on that side, forcing twiddles (manika) or a lot of step around fh action (sreeja).

Similar to the Chinese player he zhoujia long pip hitter, although I believe her combo is even more offensive and less pip like as a result.

Sabine actually had another great 1.BL match tonight,
beating Cheng Hsien-Tzu 3-1 and narrowing loosing to Yuan Wan in the decider. Total point score against Yuan Wan was 50 points to Sabine and 35 to YW.

There were some disgusting anti plays against Yuan Wan. Any hobby player would have raged calling no skill and blaming the anti.

I play with Medium Pimples on my B.H and because this isn't a popular rubber choice at my club I'm getting quite popular as many players want to practice against my Pimples. Most players really enjoy the challenge and the better players don't take long to adjust there game !!! I'm loving life at the moment and am improving a little bit all the time!!!

Today Sabine practices with one of my players.
USATT level of 2700+ (currently ranked 2nd place in the table in the Austrian 1st Upper Bundesliga).
I love how she did that placement onto the forehand with her inverted (red) rubber with just a tiny extra push and making the male player out of position. Her control on the anti and twiddling is looking better and better every week.

from the coach on site and the players, Sabine is having so much fun and enjoying the challenge to get to WR50 by end of the year.
it is so exciting to be part of her journey too!
More players from my camp will arrive in 2 weeks time for her to train with.

Sabine is on the players list for WTT Feeder Düsseldorf 2025 (Feb 11-14) as the 4th highest ranked player. Will be interesting to see how her opponents react to her new style.

If she can transition so fast, I suspect the grip changes are not that crazy, and this would be super advantageous in actual matchplay.

i love it! sabine winter is an amazing player and i hope she will show us what we can achieve if we just do what we love and have fun even in an highly competitive environment <3 wish her the best and will follow her progress
