What if ZYL takes the smash lol
this will just show one thing, CNT is bad in player management.

they chase players away, while they are still good enough, ie ZJK, WH, Guo Yue, for example.
Or even history when they really fired them while still top in the world and could jump ship and take olympic medals away (look at those that went to Taiwan, USA decades ago).

Or they don't have a system to keep players from going away - even when high money is in stake (ie, Singapore)
Maybe we can say money outweigh loyalty to the country, but it was rather the country does not have space for them?

ZYL, if she was in say an European national team, I am sure she would still get back into the national team, because it is based on merits, and not based on the coaches feeling or belief.

I am all in for players to continue playing if they have the passion for it.
If not WTT/ITTF due to certain national team policies (especially those in CNT), then I wish they can explore leagues (of which I am doing now with some recently retired CNT players). Good for ZYL to find another way to explore another chapter of her table tennis journey.

Of course I support Mima in a Mima vs. QTY matchup, but in a weird way it was kinda sad not to hear any Chinese fans cheering QTY like you normally hear when the other top CNT players play.
yep, that is why CTTA want to ban them.

CTTA/CNT is a for country only, no player is bigger than the country ideology.

and now ,the fans are true fans - they follow players, not the country. (huge threat to politicians when they can't country the people)
So even when Liu Guoliang was on stage and doing a finger shoosh sign on his lips to the crowds to quieten down, the crowds won't stop making noises.

So the crowd needs to be disperse, re-educated and new ideology needs to be taught to them, that country comes first and you can too cheer for other national players too and be quite when leadership is speaking.

So first thing is, banning all those fan groups (of which they have done), continue to remove negative remarks to CNT/CTTA for they showing of power and abuse on Chinese platforms etc.

It will take time for the brainwashing (i mean re-education) to happen.
I actually don't think CTTA can continue to control the fans in the manner they want to be honest.
They need to come up with a better method, or simply just allow fans to follow players, but just ask them to be more polite and well mannered when on tour (some times it does get too crazy and you need body guards to protect the stars from fans, and not enemies)

1.6 years sounds like a long time when your agenda method make use it like so, but it isn't like every match she takes part in, she faces chinese players, especially since CNT players plays so little events and in hiding for almost half a year last year.
Beating CNT players every time is not a reality, else CNT players won't flood the WR top 5 on the womens side. But does that mean she is washed up?? what have you done in the past 1.6 years? haha. Ito has been in a range of WR2 to WR14 in the past few years. you?? She is so much more successful than so many players on tour, but she needs to be bullied because she is Japanese?? or why do you keep picking on her?

Ito at Saudi Smash, had a very close 4-3, and a few other encounter, she still showed her ability to be on the top level, so to call her washed up... hm.... what do you call those who have a less win rate then she has??
Ito win rate in 2024 is 66%, 72% in 2023,

chinese fans are the washed up ones, especially since CTTA banned them officially.
Oh, stop wasting my time with your crap.

How many events did Ito take part each year in the Paris 2024 cycle, when even she admitted her level stagnated because she didn't play enough? They were hiding just like the CNT players, huh? And then there are LYJ and CSY, the latter of whom was determined by WTT as trying to game the system.

Even Hirano said it took her a long time before she started beating core CNT players again starting in 2023. The last time Ito beat a core CNT player was back at ITTF Finals 2020, 4-3 WYD (barely counted as a core player at that point) and going further back, Qatar Open 2020, 4-0 DN. Whatever the case, it's been over 4 years and QTY is not even considered a core CNT player at this point. For the record, Hirano had the highest win rate and Ito the lowest against CNT players.

The race obviously. But other handled the race and kept their rankings. It is her responsibility.
Please. Go look up their world ranking at the start and end of the race. This is wasting my time. If anything, it's Ito who has not been keeping up.

The selection race officially started after Zennihon Takkyu 2022, 1/24-30 and ended after Zennihon Takkyu 2024, 1/22-28
Initial points from 2020 were reduced to 20% from 1/2022 onward, and 0% from 5/2022 onward
ITTF TTWR 2022/2/1, 2022/5/3, 2024/1/30
Ito 3 (4 events), 6 (5), 10 (10)
Hayata 6 (6 events), 5 (7), 5 (17)
Hirano 15 (4 events), 44 (5), 18 (11)
Kihara 52 (3 events), 15 (6), 25 (13)
Nagasaki 67 (2 events), 96 (5), 26 (12)
Harimoto unranked (624 as of 2022/3/15), 71 (4), 16 (14)

It's not relevant that it took 1.6 years to beat a CNT player. It's relevant that she's still capable of doing it. How many other players would love to be able to beat one of the top 7 CNT women?

It's relevant because some people are never satisfied and demand perfection.

It's like an ex girlfriend I had who, upon receiving a nice gift decided it was better to reflect upon other better gifts I could've given her. "This trip to Bali is great but why haven't you bought me a diamond ring yet?"

I wish I was just joking lol

Ahem, Ito said so. As I've repeatedly reminded, you folks are arguing with the players at this point. Knock yourself out.

I posted this at MyTT and I don't feel like digging up.

【卓球】伊藤美誠が日本勢を分析「停滞しているな」 高くそびえる中国の壁
https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/266793

but this won't suit these chinese fans agenda

they must paint it that ito is failing dismally, and when she does win, oh ,it took 1.6 years.
base on the logic of zeio and his crap, all other players below Ito must retire.... its just so stupid to target or abuse japanese players like this

if only chinese fans like zeio, can use the same expectations on his own table tennis performance.
but hey, they won't, they all want to be bosses and boss other asians around, because they they share the same nationality as the current champions. So they can look down on others??

I don't see Korea's when they won the olympics, to boss around Asians and look down, especially not the Korean fans.... this is a sickness in China I tell you. Thank goodness, it is just minority, but they have too much time to flood the internet with such sickness. and they can go on for years and years on the same thing

Looks like Alexis and his coach bothered to study Xue Fei as Alexis is taking a couple steps back every time a rally develops. Alexis is completely fine playing several meters away .
who else better to play against a Felix like player than Alexis?
lets hope he holds his composure

Xue Fei really impressing with his mid game adjustments. He's even winning long distance rallies which he found zero success with early. Win or lose, there's some hope for penhold fans that he's turned a corner and can be more of a threat.

He is playing the only European who i think can win a world championship in singles so IMHO, he did extremely well.

Xue Fei vs Alexis Lebron

What a roller coaster battle 🏓!!

It’s crazy how Xue Fei came to the decider set by playing like Felix!! Hitting earlier and changing placement.

It sucks to see him so close to victory.

A very entertaining match for sure.

陪練都勁撚過你。

WS R16
SYB 0-3 HZJ (-9, -9, -5)
but will CNT ever use clones in a olympic or world champ setup?
or rather, they can be good enough to win, but are only good enough to be spectators during the major events
