I think my rubber is dead but not sure. My nittaku g1 is only a month old
I doubt that it's dead, the Fastarc is known for it's extreme durability/longevity but it's not particularly bouncy compared to many other rubbers.

What did you play before it?

What specifically makes you think it is dead? Is it the speed or is there really no spin?

Could be your blade is contributing to the 'deadness', the all-round Classic isn't particularly suited to getting the most from the Fastarc.

clean it and see how it goes... and once it stops being useful almost immediately after cleaning or it starts affecting your play (imaginary or not), replace it...
imagainary or not yes.

So i dont play TOO often. Maybe usually 1-2 times a week. 3 times if i'm lucky. So anytime i get close to having a rubber for 5-6 months i'm ultra sensitive to rubber performance. if i hit two or three forehands into the net that i feel should have been great shots, i replace the rubber lol.

but actually, now that i'm using boosted hurricaine...i will play 2-3 months before i take off rubber and boost one more time before playing a final month and then trashing rubber once the first criteria i mentioned is met.

When I spin it and it bounces on the rubber it doesn't go very far which I think it's sposed to

You can re-use rubbers if abraded as follows
_______________________
A truthful history of ANTI rubber.

This all dates back to mid 1970s. Mr. Sarkis Sarkhajan the renowned national player for USSR and lefty attacker, -- he happened to devise a brilliant way to deal with the crazy spinny balls. Some brilliant innovation never known of before.
He did purposely collected a bunch of old Sriver rubbers that did lost most of original grippiness. He then attached one onto his racket backhand, and he kept the secret for years. Very clever innovation by Sarkis,. Is it not?

I spin the ball and it doesn't bounce very far. I clean it once or twice a week and play 6 hrs per week. However yes mayb my blade is too slow. Does the blade also contribute to spin?
You are confusing spin with speed...And yes blade contributes to speed & spin.

If you lose to someone you feel you should not lose to, then the rubber is dead.

This makes no sense to me, sorry.
I just noticed, in one thread you've said you're a professional and here you are trying to figure out what Fastarc is supposed to do 🤷

You're either deluded about your level or a lot is being lost in translation

I know what a fastarc is sposed to do. I've used one before but mine just seems dead, and the reason I even paid heed to it was cuz I don't personally know the person who installed mine

Be clear. Which rubber do you think is dead. In your original post, you said Nittaku G1. Then you say Donic Coppa JO Gold.

It could be both, but the dead rubber could not have magically swapped from one to the other.

The first exercise in that video, if you actually know how to do it, is a good way to test the grip of the rubber. If the ball slides off and you can't get it to go straight up with spin, the rubber might be losing grip.

Or if you held a ball and did not let it spin and gently pressed it into the topsheet and tried to slide the ball on the topsheet without letting it spin, if it slides easily, the topsheet has lost its grip. If it sticks and does not want to slide, the rubber probably still has acceptable grip.
