Hey Zeen, H3 is actually playable without boosting (37 to 39 hardness ofc) but it's like driving a Porsche 911 running on three cylinders. It will run, but you'll miss out on half the performance and enjoyment it has to offer.

As for the popularity of Kailin in the Shanghai province, I don't know the exact reason. But when I mentioned Haifu, they frowned and told me Kailin was the best. I think this can be explained by the very small amount of booster needed, its durability, and the relatively quick drying time, which is around 8 hours.
Your boosting method seems different to the one I know:

Which states 1st glue, then booster, booster , glue

Glue protects the sponge AND expands making more catapult.

I don't think there is one way to boost. After all, when I boost, I can decide to put a thin layer, medium layer or a thick layer.

After all, you want to boost to make the rubber/sponge "feels right" in your own hand. So if you have been boosting one way, just keep on doing it again and again (whether you want to add any glue in between boosters or not). The key is consistency. You want that rubber to feel the same way each time it is boosted fresh. So if you have been boosting a certain way to your liking, then why should you change regardless what EVERYONE else says on the internet? This sounds logical to me :)

Not to bring up the other thread involving a 2200-level God like player. Obviously his attitude is obnoxious but one message he said I agree with: get to know your equipment and stop messing with it at some point.

So I will give credit where credit is due. Boost the same way each time and get to know your equipment. That is better than scouting all over internet (YouTube video's, TTD forum, Alex table tennis forum, etc. etc.) trying to figure out what everyone else is doing.

Makes a lot of sense! Thanks!

I didn't click on this link

but if you are talking about glue booster glue etc,
that is to protect too much booster oil going in and damaging the top sheet pips
so adding glue to act as a layer inbetween, to stop booster buildup to deep.

I would like to add,
1, the quality of H3 today is way better than before.
2, I have tried glue between boosters, I don't like it.
3, as per what JJ said, there is no one way to boost - because different blade/rubber combination, rubber spec/hardness/thickness, different booster, booster quantity etc. and ultimately, your personal preference of end result.

It took me a while to know what I like and it doesn't work with different rubbers (I have been testing/sampling different rubbers, and like Xuperman, I couldn't get it right, until maybe 3rd reboost (I hope he isn't reading).

I think you just need to know what is state of the rubber is boosted, and what is the state of it settling / calming down and from there you can measure where your balance should be.
hope that makes sense

NATION OF MORAL EXCELLENCES. WORTHY EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW.

Japanese is an unique nation of conspicuous personal honesty. Table tennis players of Japan, even if inside local leagues, none using boosters; nor they trading boosters domestically.

My greatest respect for them.

In contrast to Japan high morality, it is a bitter sight to see a whole nation using forbidden boosters with a free hand, --so poor morality it is. Just go to the chinamarket and you can get all the evidence of poor national morality. Sorry.
There is however a "subtle" difference between high national morality and what the Germans call "Kadavergehorsam" here is what wikipidia says: """unquestioning obedience, absolute obedience or blind obedience) refers to an obedience in which the obeying person submits unreservedly to another's""""
Little example now from Japan:
In the evening news it is announced that in all public places the air-conditioning will be brought back by 3 degrees. Next day wherever i go , be it public places or private, all aircons had been moved back. My host at the time smiled at me and declared : This is how we are !
Is this national high morale or lack of individualism ?
Well especially in Japan Individualism is frowned upon.
C'mon kids; Viva la revolution get your boosty. 😂

😂 😂 😂 😂

Call it obedient, call it team mentality. They know that being in a group doing the same thing makes them stronger.
We Dutch question everything. Even things that make perfect common sense have to be frowned upon, questioned, ridiculed, protested against. Nobody believes the government serves their interest, regardless of whether the ones in power are those they have voted for.
I mean yeah sure, it's great to have individual freedom. But it starts sucking when people take it for granted

And that’s why we are the biggest small country in the world 😊

so sad that it's just a month old. Is it really that fast to be dead?
I think Hurricane lasts more than just a month. How many layers of booster have you used?

I usually boost my hurricane initially with three thick layers. They dome up quite a bit but I always wait until the dome goes down a bit before I apply the glue and stick it onto my blade.

After that, I only reboost when I take it off and want to transfer it to another blade that I am interested in testing out. In that case, I only reboost with one layer. That allows the sponge to expand a bit when I transfer it to a new blade so I simply cut off the edges.

Then I will reboost one more time some time later. After that, it is time to trash the hurricane.

I had an experience with re-boosting some weeks ago. My feeling was, the Haifu Seamoon I used last time, was not "strong enough" for my H3 BS 40°. It doomed poorly and still felt a bit dead. So I decided to use my old Tempo Long for re-boosting. That was a real game changer. The rubber is powerful and with a feeling - after intense use for 6 months!

Similar effect to my Loki Arthur Asia. With Tempo Long it doomed and became a nice backhand rubber.

seems like there could be something wrong with your seamoon.... how long did you have it for?
