Tired and Disappointed of Boosting Hurricane 3

1 month after boosting H3 Prov BS 40deg, the ball slips, I am so disappointed since it is not cheap and I wanted to ditch H3.

maybe because of?
1. Overboost?
2. Accidentally drop a booster oil on topsheet?
3. Using of cheap rubber cleaner?

these 3 are the possible reasons, I think.

ditched H3, and tried tenergy 05.

And I really want the feel of tackiness of of the dhs h3, cause I got lots of points in service, push returns with heavy backspin, and 2nd ball and 3rd ball with slow spinny looping.
now, I am having a problem.
Looking for alternatives yet, based on users, no one can substitute boosted H3.

Can you enlighten me please?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Dignics 09c. It feels like well boosted H3 blue sponge. but with even slightly more catapult. It is up to you what you want to do.

I played Dignics 09c on my forehand for a week and went back to H3 because the short game on H3 is slightly better. But I will circle back to D09c again at some point.

Top sheet slipping sounds like a top sheet problem. I don't think it has to do with the boosting.

I accidentally drop a booster on the topsheet directly, and considering it one of reasons.

But some says that dhs 3 is difficult to block compared to d09c? How true is this

Any pictures? It's not a common case after a decade of boosting H3.

I would use the non-Neo H3 orange https://prott.vip/Product-Details.aspx?productcode=ProvincialH3orange
It probably has the best value for $28.

Tibhar K2 is about 39-40 hardness H3 with good tacky topsheet and booster-free sponge for $28. https://prott.vip/Product-Details.aspx?productcode=K2

I disagree with 09C. I have used it extensively. Spin potential is about 75% of H3 provincial. 09C still comes short in service, short game and creating heavy backspin vs H3.

If d09c come short on performance compared to h3, how about tibhar k2?

I don't find DHS 3 hard to block. Once you are used to H3, then you are used to it.

My forehand block might not be as fast as say Tenergy 05, but it is good enough. If I am blocking on the forehand side, I am already passive in that part of the match.

If the opponents loop very heavy, blocking with a rubber that does not have too much catapult is actually a plus. After all, sometimes you just need to keep the ball on the table and hope to turn from defense to offense quickly.

I am sorry, but what I am trying to say, h3 is hard to block (on opponents' perspective), compared to dignics 09c, as what they say, easier to counter

This looks like old cause I did lots of things on this but nothing succeed to make it spin again.
Tried dishwashing soap, wd40, baking soda. And try to wipe hard with cloth.
The arrow part, have stain which I think because of droplets of booster. Or maybe a cheap rubber cleaner.. 🥲😪

Yeah most likely dropping booster on the top sheet caused this issue and it probably absorbed quite fast changing the characteristics in an instant. I’ve never had slipping issues with any provincial sheets I’ve used. I wouldn’t give up with H3, the control, spin potential and your own game development can’t be compared to any other rubber. D09c is not similar at all, hurricane Neo 3 you brush create the arcs & quality yourself, if your angle or contact point is slightly off, your control and power etc can still keep it on the table. D09c has noticeable catapult effect and a really high throw angle. It’s very easy to over shoot if your contact point\racket angle is not closed enough. You will struggle to attack balls close to the table unless your racket angle is very closed up. And with the catapult plus the high throw angle, the control is not the same. Also it’s known you should only use deionised water in a spray bottle on tacky top sheets, cleaner degrades the tackiness.

This happened to me once while boosting with Seamoon. Can confirm that it ruins the topsheet grip, leading to ball slippage problems. I tried to clean the rubber afterwards with soapwater and spray cleaners, but I simply couldn't get rid of the stain.

Sir- I believe you murdered your H3. Straight to jail. Just kidding, but it sucks you dropped some booster on the top sheet. I did not know it would have that effect on the rubber.

I did come here to say that I've been using H3 for over a year now, boosted my rubbers at least 8 times (i have two paddles) and ive never seen this happen to any of my rubbers. even when the rubber is "dead" the top sheet remains mostly the same, which is different than my butterfly rubbers (dignics 09c or tenergy 05) where the top sheet seems to become much more smooth over time.

Atleast now, I can clearly say that it was because of booster. Now, I have to be careful using booster not to spill on anything.

This is the reason I got disappointed that I want an alternative but sad to say,.it seems like there is no alternative to h3.

Yes, because I wanted to try to save it. But I cant be saved. Good for you that you carefully boosting your rubbers for over a year. This could be a lesson to me now that I need to be careful when boosting.

Absolutely, which is why I have given up boosting on my H3 backhand 🙂

Leave the protective foil on the top sheet until you’ve glued the rubber on the paddle. Before cutting remove the foil
