Leave the protective foil on the top sheet until you’ve glued the rubber on the paddle. Before cutting remove the foil
Take it off for boosting though, otherwise the topsheet can't get stretched by the expanding of the sponge

If d09c come short on performance compared to h3, how about tibhar k2?

K2 comes very close to H3 but less powerful away from table.

Yes this is essential. The booster stretches the sponge as well as the topsheet. When it curls up, you just need to peel off the protective sheet and put it back on to release the pressure.

Is it also performing well? How about forehand?
Yep, I am happy with it and on the FH i now have Loki Rxton 3Pro with blue sponge. This is stickier than most sticky chinese rubbers now. It is not a fast rubber but this means that i now get most of my FH shots on the table and not in the oppositions gut. 🤣

I also want to ask, when to reboost the rubber if using haifu seamoon? is it okay if I will not reboost it anymore?
sorry if i created this misunderstanding but my H3 is the orange sponge commercial version, unboosted. My H3 and R3pro are similar in a way and for me difficult to describe. Let's say: the R3pro makes the shot for you but with the H3 you have to make the shot..................(boy this sounds stupid 😂)

Re. re-boosting: This is a highly individual matter. Some will say they feel when the boosting has gone and they take the rubber off the blade and reboost. One can do this a few times and then the sponge kinda goes "dead" and it is time for the bin.

A completely different approach and also controversial is as follows : The freshly boosted new rubber will over a period of time slowly give up its boosting effect. ( fact)
The player's brain and muscles will automatically adjust to this slowing effect. If the player remains happy with the performance of the rubber there will be no need to re-boost.
There is also the hypothesis that once a rubber has been boosted it will never return to its original values and a small boost will remain for as long as the rubber is being used. (Maybe 5%, 10% ,, 20% who knows)

Anyway, why ask me, I am just a mediocre club-hack 😂😂😂

I agree with you. The loss of performance of the booster is pretty gradual so I don't really feel it at the time.

I almost only reboost when I am EJ'ing and trying to transfer the old H3, reboosted with one layer, and put it on a new blade I am trying out. Without keeping the rubber variable the same (H3 on the forehand), I really cannot render an opinion on the new blade because I am so used using H3 over on the FH.

I agree that booster does cause permanent changes to the sponge and that benefits stay for the duration of the rubber. Could it be 20% or 10%? I agree there is no science behind. But I will take an old H3 that was previously boosted over any new H3 that has not been boosted at all. I cannot play with unboosted hurricane.

But of course you have your H3 on the FH and i can understand that you want the booster help there. I only use the unboosted H3 on the BH it is probably a 39/2.1 , quite hard but this works for me.

I am glad I found the R3pro because i can now have an unboosted forehand rubber too. Please don't tell anybody otherwise Loki will put the price up and make it less sticky. :ROFLMAO:
Just got another one today and paid NZ$ 13.61

Tenergy 05 is markedly different from H3.
Dignics 09c maybe.
My current favourite now is Sanwei Gear Hyper.
Sanwei Target National is also supposed to somewhat feel similar to H3, but I haven't tried that.
After a week trying tenergy, I use my h3 back cause I really like the feel on contact with the tacky rubbers..

EXPERT TALKS
Magic Roller by @Yinhe 1986

Give it a try. It proved to instantly boost rubber performance without dimension swelling or shrinkage neither. Currently under study with China National Team.

I actually also think Hurricane 3 is really annoying to boost and I've tried it before boosted and unboosted and even as a Chinese player, I didn't really like it.

Sanwei target national is good. Easier to access power than boosted H3. But away from table it’s not great.

🥲 Actually, I have tried 729 battle 2 n bs, sanwei national bs.
The sanwei national bs is not durable, it is good in feeling and faster.

In battle 2, it feels better on my hand.

But my clubmates says the dhs h3 is lethal and difficult to block. The reason why I settled with h3. Not so best feeling to me, but I can manage, and lethal on opponents side. Compared to battle 2, best feeling for me yet easy for opponent.

Could you ask your club mates why H3 is difficult to block? Is it the amount of top spin or the low arc?
