Can you take a close up photo of the letters in the player's name portion of the sticker and upload it?
I may be able to identify which player's blade it is from some of the letters.
I use non-sticky sheets and they work just fine.Should I be using the adhesive protective sheet thats on the rubbers or use my normal protective sheet? Does it hurt the rubber?
Anybody knows mandarin here? Who’s this guy?View attachment 35147The letters can be read without wiping off the ink.
Liang Jingkun.Anybody knows mandarin here? Who’s this guy?
Doesn't seem to be totally cut, thr first character seems to still be legible. If you take a really close up macro shot of the name section I think I can figure out at least the last name of the player.PS: Turns out the white sticker of the name is totally cut out. So nope no chance to find out the name.
Tbh at this point I am more surprised it feels like my long 5 but costs 600€ more x) I do really hope it positively surprises me tomorrow
I hate to bring bad news but given the way you hit the ball (extremely thinly and softly, with zero arm acceleration), the 968 was never going to be a good fit for the way you play. Putting 09c on top of that is not helping the cause...I played 5min with it today. I wouldn't be able to tell you any difference between my long 5 and this blade. But then again the rubbers are not glued that well. Also a soft feeling from the get go. With my long 5 the first few Sessions with a new d09c sheet the setup feels harder and a louder Sound.
How is prott so bad at gluing and cutting the rubber.
Tomorrow I will be able to test for 2h atleast. Lets see. What I can tell afterwards
Liang Jingkun.
I wonder if Liang started selling some spare blades or they’re backdooring some from the factory illegally. (Probably the latter)Liang Jingkun.
There is also the Liang jingkun blade in a black box.I am still a bit confused now. Liang Jingkun's No. 1 came in a red box. I thought that reading this thread and based on PROTT's feedback that the box should be black ... or maybe I'm missing something.
It´s still very early to say anything meaningful - can say more after todays session maybe not even today since the d09c also needs some break in time. Have you also played Long 5? before? The new W968 feels more like outer ALC. DHS did it to improve its speed but reduce the spin and catapult effect. Sorry you feel that your W968 doesn't feel much difference from Long 5. They did a poor job for such an expensive purchase!! 😖
But I guess holding a W968 just feels great!!
I prefers my 2016/17 provincial 968. The early batch. Feels really soft, like every shot goes deep into the wood. Slower than the newer 968 yes but great control.

Will see about that only played 5min with it so far. Tbh film material will always look slower than in real life. Just curious which setup would you think would be better?I hate to bring bad news but given the way you hit the ball (extremely thinly and softly, with zero arm acceleration), the 968 was never going to be a good fit for the way you play. How new are we talking about? I have a 2014 HL5 that plays almost like an all wood blade. Switching to the 2022 W968 a couple years ago was actually harder than switching from the YSE to the old HL5, and I think even a bit harder than switching from the W968 to the Viscaria. I think in the initial days the carbon fibers only ran in the vertical direction. So if the 2016 W968 is anything like the 2014 HL5 then I can definitely agree with that statement. The new W968 feels more like outer ALC. The 2022 HL5 and the 2022 W968 though weren't that different in terms of feel. You do feel more power on harder shots, with the W968 feeling more like a tightly wound bow, like 100% of the energy of deformation during the "flex" is returned in the shot. The HL5 felt more like a thin piece of ply wood, like the flex rebounds a bit slower than the ball so that the ball is shot out before all the energy is returned.
