(Ueda: "It'd be a shame if Togami continued like this." "I've been thinking if there is anything I can do for Togami.")

Ueda's interview with Butterfly on how he and Togami struck a partnership.

Even Ueda doesn't understand why Togami can't beat Ovtcharov and Moregard. LOL And he says that Harimoto, Shinozuka and Matsushima have better touch (ball feeling) than Togami.

FUJII Hiroko thinks Hayata's BH will be targeted.

https://friday.kodansha.co.jp/article/417446

Even though Red Elf had no chance of winning even with Hayata given those teammates, sitting out (was she even there?) is another troubling sign of her chronic injury...

p.s. All right, she didn't play enough matches to participate in the playoff (8 matches minimum). As of 3/8, she had still not recovered from that fever back at Singapore Smash 2025. That's not good...

https://hochi.news/articles/20250308-OHT1T51355.html?page=1

Uda has gotta be the MVP here. After helping TT Saitama win the playoff SF while playing with a cramp in his right thigh yesterday, his 3-2 win over Shinozuka in G4 of playoff F secured TT Saitama the T.League trophy for the first time.

Minami Ando to start coaching in April:

Hachioji is a bit far from Central Tokyo, too bad... maybe one day if there is an opportunity to go there the day before a tournament in that area for example

Wait, is that $60/hour for a private lesson with Minami Ando? It's worth a vacation from America to get in on that.

And Jeepers, the yen is still so weak.

The Japanese Yen is too cheap. Literally everything will feel cheap to you here

I’m not sure she can speak English though

Oh wow Kihara beat Odo.

Not sure why the Miyus pairing hasn't been working much lately.
yes i wasn't expecting this, and ODO seemed comfortably ahead 2-1 but then from G4 KIHARA took more risks in FH pivoting often, the match was more balanced and i think ODO succumbed to the pressure

I didn't watch the match TBH but I have always felt that the Kinoshita girls have a strong bond, which is probably one reason for their win today.

I think there was a good atmosphere in the Mallets as well. although of course Hashimoto / Sato and Odo/Yokoi have a more special relationship.

The win is deserved for KIHARA. I was rooting actually for ODO because i think she's a rising star and really play a more spectacular game, but i like all the Kinoshita girls as well, they're all cute and in general all Japanese girls play very positively. very good mentality. and perhaps its a Japanese thing because i witness that as well at the amateur level.

Btw I didn’t check until today but the coach of Kinoshita Nakazawa Rui is actually Chinese. Something quite obvious when you hear him speaking Japanese. His looks were more Chinese than Japanese but until now because of his name I assumed he was Japanese

Apparently he’s retiring from his coaching position after this new title and moving to a more managerial role.

Because he is now head coach of Japanese female national team no? He can't maintain the two.
