I do have a TMX pro Cho Dae Song blade where it pretty fast and stiff blade. The headsize is similiar to TMXi Pro. It feels more like a Viscaria Super ALC rather than a Viscaria. There is no vibrations at all which is very much similiar to an outer carbon blade.

The handle is very much different than TMXi Pro where it's a bit squarish.
Okay, good to know. I expect ALX to be quite a bit softer than TMX (Xiom 36.5 ALX felt like an allwood blade at times, it had a very soft shot feeling).

Regarding the handle, I just assumed a similar shape because the handle design of new Hugo blades and the old AJH blades looks the same to me, except some recolor

They’re all sold out now. Sad.

I’ll be going to Korea later this month and probably pick them up there. I want a heavier one than the light weights they advertised
In europe , most shops got them this week or will get them next week.

The store I bought my blade from asked Xiom Europe for a heavy piece and the heaviest they could get me was 87g for the Hugo ALX, despite its headsize of 160x152

Yes, a while ago. At this point , CDS TMX, AJH TMXi, Icecream blades, 36.5 alx(i) series and hugo HAL / SAL are all discontinued.

I have not followed XIOM blades closely for years now, so I am really confused with all their newer blades. TMXi, ALXi, Icecream, 36.5 series, etc. etc.

The reason is that it takes sometimes for me to like a blade. And if I like a blade, I would like to buy spare. In case of XIOM, I have tried Jazz, Aria, Solo, etc. and within a year or two after their introductions, they were all discontinued.

And reading the statement quoted above, they are still in the habit of discontinuing their blades. I remember that upon introduction of Hugo HAL, XIOM immediately discontinued Hugo SAL. And now they discontinue Hugo HAL???

Too many they have, and frankly speaking the only one I would be interested in is Hugo HAL which was discontinued... I'm not surprised that Hugo is still playing with it and makes photo with new blades just for marketing purpose ;) HAL has the same structure as Timo Ball ZLF (which is great blade), the same (normal) size 157x150mm and great weight around 88-90 grams. The structure is the same as Viscaria w/o carbon having only fiber with Koto on top.
Thankfully one (2nd hand) is coming to me :) and I'm feeling that courier will be knocking at my door soon ;)

thank you for the pictures! finally we can see the real handle shape. i was so confused when i saw the really bad 3D image and how the handle looked like. but they stayed with their nature of having a butterfly 'clone' handle with wide for outer and thin for inner.
i personally like the idea of a lighter blade and with the bigger head it can help to reduce the stress on the wrist a bit especially when you use the lighter omega 7/8 rubbers.

I have made the experience that light blades feel even more headheavy. To this day, my AJH TMXi Pro feels more balanced than my Hugo HAL (84g) if I attach heavy rubbers

in my opinion, once you get used to heavy setups, there really is no more point of buying light blades. heavy blades are just crisper and have a better touch

so for Hugo ALX, hearing that there are even 81g pieces available despite the large headsize, I cant imagine they have a good feedback. my favourite viscaria type blade is my teammates 94g FZD alc, which doesnt even feel heavy

This is me hoping that my incoming Hugo ALX with 87g will have a nice touch 😀

clearly feedback is much better with heavier models of the same blade, but the stiffnes, overall speed and kick goes up a lot and the throw will be lower too. lighter models can feel hollow sometimes but they are more 'controllable' and 'easier to play' for most players that don't train 5x per week. but the balance is for shure another thing, a heavy blade can feel light if the weight is more towards the handle, but if we compare inside one blade model so Hugo HAL in 82 to Hugo HAL in 85, then the lighter ones are as i said. so let's see what those models have to offer and maybe someone can compare. i would not be able to control such a heavy viscaria just from the crazy stiffness, base speed and kick it will have. i struggle already with viscarias around 84g (the reason i play HAL)

another blade with the same concept is the andro vco with weight shifting between 79-84 g and this is an amazing blade that a lot of high class people using in germany

I've been playing with the AJH TMXi for the last 18 months and continue to love it. The new Hugo model has me interested. I ordered two of the new ones yesterday from TT11. With the 30% discount they came to $142 each.

Yes, two Hugo TMXi Pro blades. I'll post some impressions after they arrive and I have time to play a bit with them. I intend to use the same rubbers (Donic Bluestar A2 - FH / Xiom Vega Pro H - BH).

Love to hear your review after you get them, cause I've been playing with AJH TMXi as well for over 2 years, and I haven't played any other blade that I like so much!
PS How did you get a 30% discount from tt11? The max volume discount is 25% and they don't have Hugo TMXi Pro in their Special Offers
