It is an unnecessary rule. I agree with them. The wording suggests booster was banned to prevent an unfair and uneven playing field. By not being able to police or enforce the ban it created an uneven playing field, those who get away with boosting, and those who don’t or won’t do it because it’s not legal.

ITTF did recently obtained pocket spectrometer from LinkSquare International ©Co. It works like magician tool, indeed.

We do expect this device to have a strong restraining effect on offending players, something like an insect repellent 😆
None boosters within the OG 2028, --this is the set goal we aspire for.

I can go on and on about how to make it more fair, but it won't happen.
and you right, it is obviously the people who decided on the rule, are like igor. are total clueless on how to police them and thinking making posts on an amateur table tennis forum will be the solution of pros boosting.

the yesters years players all use speed glue.
they probably get lung cancer quicker from smoking than playing table tennis, so it can't be health risk.

a useless, unpoliceable rule and the solution of removing the rubbers is the "best" solution at the moment lol

Tell me at least one sport, where everyone follows the rules without exception.
In sports, that require strength or endurance, athletes are looking for medications, and laboratories are "working hard" to create a doping agent, that cannot be detected in the body. Everyone wants to be the best.
Table tennis is no exception. It's just that here, unlike in other sports, you can "tune" the rubber.

And already we see that this is not going to work because the little detector needs to do its "sucky sucky action " on the sponge.
The sponge is not accessible once glued on to the blade, not even on the side of the blade because at the Olympics I will be using an edge-tape that smells of raspberries. 🤣
