Obviously interested in blade since Hugo’s recent performance. Got very lucky and found a seller with two close to brand new Hugo HAL 😁

I got bitten by EJ bug recently after 10+ years using H3 on my FH. Now trying some other Chinese hard tacky rubbers for fun
Wow you got some good stuff in there. What are the 2 rubbers on the right? do you have the links to them

Hugo's fame continues.... :) everybody is looking for his former blade not the current one.... it's good that Xiom decided to restore its production... will see for how long, but I've already ordered additional one to have a backup, too :D

@Charlesmorris What did you glue on it? Both side D09c? Or something different?
I afraid that lack of carbon may impact of lack of additional "kick" for harder rubbers like hybrids or Chinese. Currently I have T05+Omega 8 Pro and it plays as expected similar to my TB ZLF (fiber w/o carbon) but haven't tried so far harder ones what I have i.e. on Golden Viscaria H3Neo (star edition) BS + D05 because of theoretical thoughts of lack o kick... hmmm:unsure:

I did D05 both sides but planning to do xiom C55 as I prefer the feeling. D05 or C55 on the golden viscaria plays amazing but just abit more balanced towards speed than spin for me reducing stability. The HAL slightly less speed complimented my technique and I felt super stable winning all my rallies last night and very easy backhand flicking receives with full power close to table without worry ball would over shoot. D05 or C55 with the HAL should have plenty of kick with good technique still. To note I do C55 boosted and it’s a beast. Yeah I don’t like D09c in general, awful feeling for a rubber, literally gave away 4 sheets to a friend last night 🤣 All depends on the person but I wouldn’t use blue sponge on a non carbon blade, would be way too exhausting. I was using 42D national but recently switched to boosted C55.

How you boost C55? What do you use and how many layers?
I have 1 unopened sheet of C55 black + couple of new D05 in red.

Exactly like Neo 3 so two layers of haifu sea moon, waiting roughly 8 hours apart. I boosted D05 but wasn’t too much difference to unboosted. D05 is grippy so it has the feeling of dragging the ball. But Neo 3 has the feeling of absorbing the ball and shooting it out. C55 unboosted didn’t, but boosted had the great feeling of Neo 3 without all the negatives. It’s not so exhausting, can perform quality shots without full power, and fast blocks can still apply pressure to the opponent. Try at your own risk 😁

I snatched some cheap overgrip tape from my local Lidl, €2 with enough for 6 TT blades. It's better than expected, my Pro 01 feels even better balanced now and I don't have to clench as much to get a good grip which helps me as well.
Lidl! You go in for bananas and come out with a clearance Tuba

Went a bit crazy and tried everything here except for the Volant Phoenix and was pleasantly surprised with the Arthur China. Very good rubber for the BH, a tad to soft for my taste on the FH side. The Cuifeng and LanYing are good alternatives for H3, a bit easier to generate power and speed compared to H3, but not as good in top gear. The Battle 2 lacks spin, and the 729 Dragon is meh. All are boosted with Haifu Black Oil and tried on the Viscaria golden, Jinshi/Chonglan KLC Pro, and Stiga Surge.
