Why’s CNT pushing Wang Chuqin so much instead of trying to make a new goat of Fan Zhendong who’s still the best player currently?

WCQ isn't even that much younger then FZD. I think FZD needed the break after Olympics and I think it will be good for him to play in Germany and get away from the crazy Chinese fans if that is even possible. Maybe he can reaquire his mental strength and then go be back an cnt

I personally don't feel he need to prove anything to "win" more for CNT.
him going back, would also mean there is no one left and CNT need to call back "retirees". Somewhat a shameful act for management if that makes sense.

he can continue his provincial team (club) and personal career and watch as many concerts and football matches as he wishes

however, while in TTBL, the fangirls are going to flock Germany, but I am sure the German won't put up with the non ethical nonsense that they display at some WTT events and really protect FZD and "teach" those rude fans some manners.

I don't think it's calling back retierees. For me it's more like getting back the world best Player right now.

Right now it looks like CNT is vulnerable all 3 lost to Hugo Calderano and they don't seem that stable. Wang Chuqin is coming back but he is not as consistent.
I think being the bigger man and saying they made a mistake would show growth and intelligence. For me it is clear that they should bring him back. Maybe even give him the chance to win his second gold in the Olympics in three years I think he has a good chance in doing it. Also FZD vs Wang Chuqin or FZD vs Lin Shidong would be a great final.
Liang Jingkun for me is not good enough to represent CNT right now. FZD WCQ and LSD would be a better team in my opinion. But that's my opinion I am not sitting somewhere and have the power to change something. So yeah.

i fully agree with you that FZD is in fine form and the 3-0 he is giving everyone in the CNT is making CNT look really bad.
that shows how much no stress, no pressure and being allowed to play freely can affect your game.
