My guess, he's still figuring out what to play from his new sponsor and in the meantime uses what he still has and is used to.
Maybe his new sponsors blades are not working out, maybe it's too much of a difference to use in matches already... Either way it's a sticky situation.

Double Fish has always sponsored people that never used their equipment. I remember when Chen Qi endorsed them many years ago, and even now I believe they have Lin Gaoyuan and Liu Shiwen.

Did not expect Zyre to supplant Dignics this quickly.

Could be a response to a series of move by ESN, Victas and Xiom. Calderano taking gold at World Cup 2025 and silver at WTTC 2025 likely pushed forward the release of Zyre-03. Togami taking MD gold at WTTC 2025 couldn't be better in terms of marketing, and Butterfly probably wants to ride the wave of the low yen to further take back the overseas market share that it lost to ESN in 2010s.

Unfortunately, the WTT didn't get many good photos of him in Zagreb. The handle appears to be dark blue, and it has some design on the handle, almost looking like a Z. I wonder if this is a new Double Fish blade they are making for him? Terrible screencap I took from his match with Bartelsmeier. His backhand is still Joola though.

Also noticed Chen Yi using the Yinhe Pro 05 and Yang Yiyun using the 980 Ultra Def. With how big of a company they are I'm surprised they don't sponsor more players.

Would be good for Xiom since they lost Cho Daesong and An Jaehyun recently.

But switching already from H3 to whatever it is now, and before they published anything, seems unusual to me.

After a little looking around, the few reviews I found suggest that these are narrow, unfortunately - otherwise I'd be ordering a pair.

I have them in Euro size 44 and they are quite narrow indeed (what is fine for me)
