In obedience to the ITTF latest resolution, Donic manufactory gave up a final tuning on rubbers with oil. Also, Donic is the first one to release a sandwich covering pre-secured against boosters, a small trial batch of rubbers equiped with the Safety Label.
So a great gesture of goodwill by Donic. Who is the next one?

ie, the wood used in our blade, are we planting enough trees based on our consumption - and that the suppliers need to ensure sustainable procurement in its raw materials etc.

There is an ID identity number in the centre circle on the Safety Print. Umpire must be satisfied that the ID's on the sponge and topsheet are entirely duplicative. . This is a sure indication that both the sponge and topsheet did obtained ITTF official authorization.

Fake sponges or players changing sponges are extremely rare at international level. It's rare at any level actually and only done by an extremely small minority.

Not only that, but all brands make specific "rubbers" for top players, the easier for them will be to mark them as "normal" in the sponge. So what is the "profit" for "fair play" on that? NONE The only profit will be for the factories&brands that will charge higher prices!

by the way - changing the sponge isn't even against the rules. there is a part of the rules which, long story short, says - you should not alter the topsheet of the rubber, but what happens to the sponge part, is not important.

which is kind of true - look at all 24-108 versions ... with different sponges ... it's is a cumbersome procedure to do it on your own, but if you do it, it could be also quite hard to prove, that you change it (speaking theoretically here ...)

That's why the ITTF switched from celluloid to ABS, allowed carbon fiber blades and tries to ban boosters that can be used to extend the service life of ESN rubbers scnr
