A reputable table tennis factory of China is known to have adopted Stigley's "magic" formulas as it is, with the only slight modification. (dont ask names from me, please).

in our country we called this ball "skokica" (jumpy) and I doubt it has anything to do with modern table tennis tensor rubber ... that was just a round lump of bouncy rubber ... even the materials are different.

I just went to check - when Harimotor and many other Japanese top players (Miwa, Shunsuke, Sora) were competing in Ljubljana in June this year, I noticed that they had Dignics rubbers, but the FH sponge was more violet color. as far as I know, all four Dignics variants have red sponge? well, Harimotor was playing with a rubber with Dignics 09c marking, and Miwa had Zyre03 rubber, with same color sponge. Shunsuke I cannot see the rubber name, but has violet sponge. Joao Geraldo also had Zyre03 rubber.

Not sure if anyone mentioned in the thread, but Zyre 03 will be directly available to buy at that end of August, shop sellers should have it in stock at that time, price is unknown I guess

I spoke with BUTTERFLY employee. He said that end of August they will have details, but availability is usually two months later

I bet the price will be >$80USD 😭

Is the Z03 the reason or that the Chinese are not as strong as they used to be?

We saw also Hugo getting great results this year without using BTY rubbers.
