Not looking good in MD either, 2W2L, winning 1/3 versus LJH/AJH.

Felix has lost 4 times this year to Koreans. It's time to take a break and think about his game once again.
France had a joint training/hitting training session with Korea prior to WTTC according to someone. That same someone (forgive me for not remembering his name) said that it was not a smart move on the part of the France and that Korea has likely collected some intel. In the short term, he is turning out to be right.

In the deciding game trailing at 4:8, struggling with Groth's serves most of the match, Dan Qiu called service fault using TTR, and he succeeded!
The loss of the point rattled Groth, he lost next 4 points. Then, Dan called the TTR challenge again, and he succeeded again! Then Dan claimed the coming-back victory at 11:9.
Groth tried to challenge the TTR but was not allowed. He must have bitter taste after the match. He sure would feel he was defeated not by Dan but TTR.
Is this the first case that a player used TTR challenge system twice in a match and succeeded? It might be the turning point that players will use it more aggressively and frequently.

Watching the slow motion of the TTR, even though the contact point of rubber brushing ball was clear on both cases, the balls were indeed hidden by Groth's head momentarily on the way down before the contact point. If that's a violation of the legal service rule, I'll say quite many pros will face the same challenge.
Harimoto used it to get into someone, I can't remember who at the moment. Think it was LYJ.

And yes, the TTR is back to being used the way that faulted Ma Long so much they stopped using it.

Walther vs Bardet in US Smash called it 3 times, first 2 succesfully. Didn't turn the match for him there, but seems the German team planned on how to use it
Given that Duda should have used it to beat Wang at the World Cup, I am sure they all got smarter. Rosskopf in particular and Germans in general are too smart not to realize such things. The rest is execution.

Well that was me ... However I think if Felix cancels all events and focuses only on changing his games until Montpellier then things might be different. He will rise again.

True, but at earlier tournaments they mostly cared about the contact point for hidden ball challenges. This is the first time they actually enforce the rule as it’s supposed to be
One of the Harimoto calls was close against Quadri but I prefer this interpretation, this was what they used to do when it was faulting Ma Long.

Togami destroyed noshad alamiyan but noshad is not happy at all, constant complaining and arguing throughout the match. not really sure why but i think noshad had an issue with Togamis serve View attachment 37502

By the way, upon checking with the person involved, it wasn’t Serve, but Aramiyan who complained to the referee, saying, “This guy’s got too many net shots,” and when Togami told him, “There’s no need to tell the referee,” he got furious. lol Aramiyan, who’s causing all sorts of chaos, is quite a character, isn’t he? :ROFLMAO:

Jiang Jialiang never had anything good to say about South Korea when commentating for a reason...

Rassenfosse is the second coming of Saive or that Pitchford should be rated lower?
No definitely not! It will be another 100 years before there will be a second J-M Saive, if ever. There is nothing in the pipeline in Belgium. Tom Closset is now 19, was a young promise but his chances are lost I'm afraid. If there is anything of promise in Belgium it would possibly be Aiden Cepeda Braekmans (10 years old)Aiden Braekmans Obviously a lefty and they always have an edge with me.;)

But it was a friendly conversation that is all that matters - and he is right, Togami is not the one to tell him who to tell lol....

Someone on reddit claims the ball at this event is heavier so the choppers can't get as much backspin in as they usually do.
What is the tournament ball? Struggling to find it online and I can't trust yhe Gemini reference...
