If I was Liang, I would have put down my bat and gone home after that shot. Absolutely ridiculous to track down that ball and play it yo that point on the table. Crossover footwork running backhand topspins are extremely rare.

Apart from some inside out smashes in G1, QTY did not have the quality to trouble Hashimoto. The introduction of his new heavier ball didn't trouble Hashimoto so far. I am curious how the next match (presumably) against WYD will turn out.

On an unrelated note, at 5:5 Hashimoto did the "reverse" BH side/back serve (not sure how you call it, but it has the same sidespin as the pendulum serve) and QTY dumps it into the net. At 6:5, Hashimoto did the "reverse" BH side/top serve, gets a high receive and wins the point with a smash.

It's not as simple as the ball getting less backspin on chops or pushes, the ball is also easier to float and remain consistent and that helps a lot as well.

Remember that players like Andrien do not have money to compete in several Feeders or Contenders events to accumulate points so his ranking looks bad. These guys can compete at the highest level, just give them some chances and we will see.

Even as a fan of Adrien, I can tell you his form here is strong and a bit above what he consistently displays in the league. Yes, being on a team with Kanak and Duda and Ruiz helps. Hardworking so very deserving. Hoping for him it lasts.
