Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

finally got mine, 84g, fitted with D09c and D05 and it is a gem!!

not anything like Moonbeam, but - the feeling is very familiar and similar. not the same, but there is this softness Moonbeam had ... I hope I don't jinx it but I think I found my blade ... even more ... my combo ... though, I am tempted to try this blade with C55/C52.5 or Xiom Omega VII China Guang ... will decide after Dignics "die" ...

I am not surprised. I played both HAL for a year, then AJH TMXi Pro for about a year now.
I recently had a hit with my old HAL, and the feeling was so soft and amazing when looping. It kind of tempted me to play the HAL again, so I quickly stopped and kept using my TMXi Pro :D (which is amazing too!)

HAL with D09c is an amazing combo that a few people in my club are playing with, great choice :)
D05 on HAL was too bouncy for me though

agree on D05, if I stay with Dignics, it’s going to be D09c on both sides. not that D05 is bad, far from it!

I love D05 on the HAL, but when this one bites the dust i might go D80. I dont feel that D05 is bouncy. T19 was a little bit bouncier but still manageable, at least for me.

I am using D05 on BH ... on FH it is a bit different, it doesn't feel so ... tough to control it ... to tame it. I mean, now that I got used to it, it is okay, but it did take quite some time to understand it and get used to it. didn't get the feeling D09c would cause that much problems ...

For me it was the opposite, D05 is different from what i was used (T80) but it was much more familiar than D09c. 09c felt like something completely different. The throw angle also was something i coulndnt get used to. I havent tryed the 09c on the Hugo Hal but i think it will be similar to my previous experience.

Finally ordered a HAL from TT11 yesterday. Requested 85g as that's what my current blade is, but I'm hoping I don't regret going that 'heavy' when there are lighter options available. It's still less than my old Viscaria (89g) but I find the weight of my rubbers is creeping up and the elbow is starting to complain 😅

I had a short hit with the Hugo HAL yesterday, with R48 and R42 rubbers. It's quite interesting, coming from my W997 clone by Sergio (like W968), it is clearly stiffer, I'd say it also feels a bit stiffer than my Viscaria (same weight 88g). It also feels quite precise, and a bit softer than Viscaria. Due to stiffness, when FH topspining, I felt I need to go a bit more up. But I think I'd be able to adapt. I'd not classify it as FH-topspining blade, at least not for me. But good quality blade anyway. I hope my friend will adapt to it too.

The R48 seems a good rubber. I prefer harder on the FH, but I know much better players than me, who use it on the FH. I could use it on the BH instead of the R42. Well, if I didn't just install new Glayzer now. I like Glayzer on the BH.

I realised yesterday what bothers me with D05, on BH at least - and I cannot believe I am saying this, as I love that, but - it has too much dwell time!! and I have a feeling, that I have finished the stroke and the ball is still on the blade ... over-exaggerating, but that's the feeling. don't have that problem with D09c.

but - I should have one Z52.5 somewhere, just hope it is red, or I will try the new J&H C52.5, but am a bit sceptical about tacky rubber on BH. I did play a lot with Vega Pro H on BH, it was really nice, but that rubber isn't really tacky ...

This weekend i removed the glue from my D05, it had like 5-6layers of glue already, and the surface was getting not soo smooth. Removed the glue and glued again on the HAL and the rubber feels harder and slower? I'm i getting mad or is this possible?
Was enjoying the D05 on the Harimoto and then on the HAL and suddendly the rubber becomes dead. The rubber is basically new. Will reglue it again and if the feeling is the same i might go back to T19 or even to my trusty T80.

yes. on DHS #15 it even says to add more layers for more speed. 😉

i am concerned the opponent, upon inspecting the HAL racket, will simply forfeit...
He may not realize it will be my first time playing with it and it might raise his odds tremendously. So I will take the forfeit.

Tested the blade today, I like it a lot, the issue is had against the player i played is that sometimes, the ball just died on the block in a way that felt inexplicable vs my Viscaria SALC. I put that down to lacking the Carbon kick. Will give it a whirl tomorrow as promised but likely to uaw my SALC for most matches.
