I am not surprised. I played both HAL for a year, then AJH TMXi Pro for about a year now.finally got mine, 84g, fitted with D09c and D05 and it is a gem!!
not anything like Moonbeam, but - the feeling is very familiar and similar. not the same, but there is this softness Moonbeam had ... I hope I don't jinx it but I think I found my blade ... even more ... my combo ... though, I am tempted to try this blade with C55/C52.5 or Xiom Omega VII China Guang ... will decide after Dignics "die" ...
agree on D05, if I stay with Dignics, it’s going to be D09c on both sides. not that D05 is bad, far from it!I am not surprised. I played both HAL for a year, then AJH TMXi Pro for about a year now.
I recently had a hit with my old HAL, and the feeling was so soft and amazing when looping. It kind of tempted me to play the HAL again, so I quickly stopped and kept using my TMXi Pro(which is amazing too!)
HAL with D09c is an amazing combo that a few people in my club are playing with, great choice
D05 on HAL was too bouncy for me though

I am using D05 on BH ... on FH it is a bit different, it doesn't feel so ... tough to control it ... to tame it. I mean, now that I got used to it, it is okay, but it did take quite some time to understand it and get used to it. didn't get the feeling D09c would cause that much problems ...I love D05 on the HAL, but when this one bites the dust i might go D80. I dont feel that D05 is bouncy. T19 was a little bit bouncier but still manageable, at least for me.
For me it was the opposite, D05 is different from what i was used (T80) but it was much more familiar than D09c. 09c felt like something completely different. The throw angle also was something i coulndnt get used to. I havent tryed the 09c on the Hugo Hal but i think it will be similar to my previous experience.I am using D05 on BH ... on FH it is a bit different, it doesn't feel so ... tough to control it ... to tame it. I realised yesterday what bothers me with D05, on BH at least - and I cannot believe I am saying this, as I love that, but - it has too much dwell time!! and I have a feeling, that I have finished the stroke and the ball is still on the blade ... over-exaggerating, but that's the feeling. don't have that problem with D09c.For me it was the opposite, D05 is different from what i was used (T80) but it was much more familiar than D09c. 09c felt like something completely different. I have 84g blade and it is really nice. I mean, official spec says 85g, if that means anything, so ...Hopefully that means 85g is solid enough. I reached out and the heaviest TT11 has available is 86g anyway (FYI to anyone still "shopping").
yes. on DHS #15 it even says to add more layers for more speed. 😉This weekend i removed the glue from my D05, it had like 5-6layers of glue already, and the surface was getting not soo smooth. Removed the glue and glued again on the HAL and the rubber feels harder and slower? I'm i getting mad or is this possible?
Was enjoying the D05 on the Harimoto and then on the HAL and suddendly the rubber becomes dead. The rubber is basically new. Will reglue it again and if the feeling is the same i might go back to T19 or even to my trusty T80.
i am concerned the opponent, upon inspecting the HAL racket, will simply forfeit...I am going to play at least one match with this blade at the tournament I am attending.
He may not realize it will be my first time playing with it and it might raise his odds tremendously. So I will take the forfeit.i am concerned the opponent, upon inspecting the HAL racket, will simply forfeit...
