True, but league is just a very different environment to play in and no one is talking about the Chinese fans that chase him wherever he goes. Apparently the announcer had to ask them to be fair and respectful and when Fan wasn't playing they were all on their phones. I would hate to play under those conditions.
they are rude when their hero is playing
and rude when their hero is not playing

I think it is an incurable pattern
what makes it worse - they probably think it is acceptable, or simply have a don't care attitude.

imagine going to a NBA or basketball match and when your player is on, you go mad and when he is sub for a rest, then everyone leaves the stands and will return when he is sub back on.

this is terrible

The only solution I see happening is to allow the Chinese fans flying in only a small allotment of tickets. Someone over in the German forum said the crowd for the first match was 75% Chinese. Maybe someone with a Dyn sub can check if that was true.

There was a good report by the regional television (SR), with interviews of the Chinese fans (different from the summary posted by Bollwerk above). Many didn't necessarily "fly in" but came by car or train from places like Munich or Metz - Chinese living and working in Germany and nearby countries. Those who spoke German said that FZD is an "idol" and "national hero". Will be interesting to see what the atmosphere will be like at future games, home and away.

Found it - maybe not posted yet here:

As long as the fans are not breaking any rules, I wouldn't care if they are rude if my pay eventually increases because of them. Everyone knows they don't even know how to hold the paddle correctly, so I don't care who they support.

As long as the fans are not breaking any rules,
no rules broken here, since there is no rules set for fans.
but common courtesy is don't stand and block those behind you.
because there is no rules, doesn't mean its okay.

Here the dude thinks he has media accreditation and spend the next while filming there and around the barriers. Yeah, because they are paying ticket fans, they can do anything they like.

You need to hire security and chase fans away from playing areas. Imagine if hundred of fans surround the barriers to film - the amount of pressure it will give the players + causing obstruction for seated fans.

FZD doesn't agree. The TT world lost few years of FZD international magic because of rude fans.
I hope it doesn't destroy league magic too.

PS. I know many players who also doesn't agree. And it is a bit crazy, that only (some - but it is still plenty but not majority) fans from China are so out of control. You get good fans and these rude fans. You need to see how these rude fans pull players shoulders with force, to force the player to turn around so they can have a selfie. Thank goodness you have good fans that goes over and screams at the rude fan saying - never touch the players. And the rude fans say, I just want to take a photo.

Rude fans feel they are entitled - aka Karens
they think without then, table tennis will collapse.

I guess I underestimated the crazy fans. If there aren't rules, make some! ITTF and WTT should do their work. And there should be serious consequences for violations.

ASC Grünwettersbach's coach Achim Krämer has resigned from his position after unspecified allegations from manager Martin Weber. In the announcement on their homepage written by Weber it sounds like it was amicable, but Krämer posted on the German forum a message claiming he didn't see it coming and denies any allegations. He doesn't want to get in the way of the club's success though and is resigning quietly.
Krämer was responsible for coaching during league matches. Jannis Nonnenmann will continue his job as head coach in the KITT while Ricardo Walther will take over Krämer's position temporarily in addition to his job as director of sports at the KITT. They want to take their time finding a new coach and figuring what his/her job will entain. In their more recent match in the Champions League Krämer was absent and the club still performed well securing their spot in the round of the last sixteen Weber commented.

yeah, its gone so crazy that fans broke into FZD's hotel room to steal his underwear.
its paparazzi like behavior too, not by media but by fans
and they follow him where ever he goes.

ITTF/WTT do have separation of spectators and players in the halls.
you don't have that in club settings in Europe because you have very respectable fan cultures in Europe.
I guess its a learning curve for TTBL and the clubs.

Is this game also showing up on Rednote. I thought Rednote bought the rights for TTBL but I’m guessing they only stream FZD matches only.
I was just in the middle of typing the same

All matches of TTBL and German Cup.
They got the rights, but are they even showing everything? Can't find anything if so, only see info for Saarbrücken matches. If there's a page that links to the streams that would be helpful.

While this might not be 100% relevant here, it seems MLTT is going to join a streaming network and also offer TTBL matches as part of the mix. Maybe there will soon be a streaming network for TT outside of youtube to make money for the sport...

So Dyn will stream MLTT matches too?
