when you loose, should we say you are an idiot for not hiring a coach?
and copy your phase, "idiots don't deserve to win"
Naw, that's just a matter of using the wrong equipment

Rules and laws should not be enforced like this.

"If you can't protect yourself you should be beaten... "

Doesn't sound so cool to me.
if players need to enforce rules themselves.
why do we even need umpires?

TTR should be used for "close calls" or even "wrong calls".
It should never be used for "calling"

Whats keeping anyone for checking every serve every time like in tennis. And no not eagle eye, there are line judges too.
What is keeping anyone to hiring one person to check every serve and if there's fault then tell the umpire with maybe 5 sec delay. First it would look awkward but after a few tournaments people would learn to serve legally.

If WTT wants to change the rule or enforce it more strictly, I'm all for it.
I'm just saying, WCQ and Sora are being judged by the current rules. They entered the tournament knowing the current rules.

Why should they expect different rules if the official rules are already given?
So go ahead and change the rule. You have my backing 100%. AFTER they officially change the rule, then they should expect the new rule to take effect.

Badminton has service judges who monitor the height of services like a hawk using specialised equipment. TT is just.... sad
Yes, TT should have its own service judge. But I think it would be hard to implement. How do you put a judge in the same position as the receiver?

Unless you can just get the camera to call out faults immediately.

I don't know why you always go repeat this. Are you so insecure about your own life that you always need to bring this up?

I'm not trying to be a pro. I don't ever expect to compete in tournaments. I'm just playing for fun with local friends. I really don't even play much these days. Just 1 or 2 days a week with local friends.

I agree that one would be an idiot to attempt to be a pro without a coach. You can't be elite player without thousands of hours of coaching and systematic training.

But that's not what I'm aiming for. The reason I don't get a coach is because it is a low priority for me. There are literally hundreds of things I would rather spend money on that "table tennis coaching". That's not to say coaching is bad. If you're priority is coaching, then you should go for it. For me, there are simply other things I would rather get.

- new computer
- new phone
- books
- audiobooks
- travel the world
- go on a cruise
- go to a resort
- go to amusement park
- new clothes for kids
- buy stocks
- buy real estate
- buy medicine
- buy things for the house
- get accessories for the car...

i thought we had enough discussion about it and have a conclusion that he has the most perfect equipment (my proof - he hasn't asked questions lately)
I guess when you have all of it the perfect equipment is bound to be somewhere in that pile

I don't know why
because you use the word idiot and linked with your decision making, the same applied.
if you want to call other idiots, then you need to be prepaid to face the same when you make silly choices.

PS. this has nothing to do with my life, its just a post.
no need to loose your sleep over it

Ok. I'm an idiot because I choose to play TT for fun instead of hiring a coach and playing competitively.

Fine.

No, nothing wrong with choosing to play TT for fun and not seeking professional training.

But you are an idiot for choosing to do this and then thinking you have a valid opinion when it comes to analyzing professional play, the complexities of how underdogs manage to get victories against favorites, and how a top player in the world changes his game and improves weaknesses without losing his strengths. All when you can't even figure out basic issues at the estimated 1800 level such as you being late to every ball because you don't change your stroke based on the speed of the incoming ball, or even knowing what multiball training is lol.

First off, I didn't actually call anybody an idiot. I said, you are an idiot if you BELIEVE your opponent is faulting on every serve and you are not using TTR. Milos only called for TTR one time in his 5 set match. So obviously he didn't believe WCQ was actually faulting. If Milos believed WCQ was faulting on every serve, but chose not to use the TTR, then I would classify that as idiocy.

Simply put: If you think WCQ is faulting, go use the TTR and get your free point!

Secondly, I am totally okay "on the receiving end". If you think I am an idiot, I'm totally fine with that. You live your life, I live mine. You can't be best friends with everyone in life. I wish you good luck on your endeavors.

We wouldn't even have a forum if you needed professional authorization to share your opinion or observation. This is the a public internet forum. Anybody can share their opinion, experience, or observation. Anybody is free to agree or disagree with your observation. Some people think WCQ is faulting, some people think he isn't faulting. That's life.

What's your credential? How many WTT events have you played?

Igor and Zeio and whoever often post kinda unusual opinions. 90% of the time, it's way too in-depth for me and I have no idea what they're talking about.

But I absolutely love that they are posting it. They're enjoying their life and expressing their passion for table tennis.

Sometimes it is helpful to me. When it's not helpful to me, I simply skip over it. No need to get mad about it. Unless you are deeply insecure and wounded person.

If so nobody here except Tony has valid opinion when it comes to analyzing professional play ))))
