We wouldn't even have a forum if you needed professional authorization to share your opinion or observation. This is the a public internet forum. Anybody can share their opinion, experience, or observation. Anybody is free to agree or disagree with your observation. Some people think WCQ is faulting, some people think he isn't faulting. That's life.

What's your credential? How many WTT events have you played?
Correct it's a public forum which allows you to post your uninformed amateur opinion and also allows everyone else to laugh at them like most usually do.

I've answered that question to you enough times - you'd know the answer by now if you actually wanted to.

If so nobody here except Tony has valid opinion when it comes to analyzing professional play ))))
Nah, just not everybody wants to be become an online persona and deal with the constant questions and in many cases harassment that comes with the territory when you speak on matters that are of interest to fans and nosy people.

My experience is comparable to Tony's and if you read carefully enough and know enough my comments over time prove that.

I'll keep posting. You go ahead and laugh all you want. Doesn't bother me at all.

All you are doing is projecting your own weakness, insecurity, and low self-esteem.

I hope everybody keeps posting whatever they like. Don't let the TTD fake bullies deter you from enjoying your TT journey.

Of course not. It just isn't usual for someone to post their opinion, get pointed to all the other facts that are in conflict with their opinion, and then rather than discuss some of those facts, they troll you by acting like you are just ignoring facts because you pointed out other facts they ignored in forming their opinion. This is TB's general MO. No one does it quite like him.

Don't forget one of my first activities on this forum was giving you great free advice on your thread you had asked for and encouraging people to not be so harsh on you for no reason. Then, I just realized the reason lmao.

You're right, I guess the three repeat-Olympians and numerous 2550-2700 players and coaches I spoke to about the WCQ-Harimoto Yokohama match are also projecting their weaknesses and low self esteem when they raved about Harimoto's performance and would have laughed just as hard at the suggestion that he got lucky because WCQ magically forgot how to play a few hours after running through the rest of the opposition.

I mean... if Tony and NL agree on something that's when it gets scary right?

Great. I value their opinion and observation.

I simply have a different opinion on Harimoto's progress.

I'm sorry I receive a lot of replies and I don't remember you giving me advice. If you did, I thank you for that. I appreciate that kind of feedback and advice.

It is basically trolling. I'm not really sure why the forum doesn't just collectively treat him like Igor and just not engage. I've used the "ignore" function but it doesn't completely work because I still see everyone else talking to him. Of course he should be free to post whatever he wants as long as it's not in violation of the forum rules, but there's truly no point to engaging. He's got his handful of hobbyhorses and it's just the same thing over and over again.

Well yes I can actively ignore him, except that he's giving advice to new people who have no idea what to trust except for a high post count.

It's partly because Harimoto is relatively volatile and that creates room for fun speculation.

its just too difficult to disagree on tb, or rather his real name michael (yes, at one stage, he was on the forum with both accounts talking with us)

Since he is an expert in maths, video analysis etc, I'm waiting for him to give us his "observation" on his own match, which he just kind of very conveniently doesn't do and only ask ttd to do it for him for "FREE".

You raise a valid point and with this version of TTD, the "expert" title got removed.
not sure if you were on the forum previously, but Dan would award titles like Equipment expert, to users that deserve it, and that would help new users.

I recall Dan did say such feature was not available on this forum version.

This makes perfect sense now.
so when TB goes on an idiot calling, or how harimoto plays, it is projecting his (tb) weakness, insecurity and low self-esteem.

Look man, I don't want to keep arguing with you. 90% of the stuff you say just doesn't even make sense. I just ignore your posts. Why do you feel the need to follow me around and act like a high school fake bully?

This is a sports forum. The purpose is to discuss sports. If you follow tennis, maybe you love Federer and you dislike Nadal. In NBA, maybe you cheer for Steph Curry and cheer against Lebron James. In Boxing, maybe you love Crawford and hate Canelo. That's the nature of being a sports fan, you want 1 guy to win and 1 guy to lose.

In my case, I like players that create their own shots with power and creativity. So I like players like Wang Liqin and Wang Chuqin and Ma Long. I dislike crab style players like Harimoto and Kanak Jha and long pips and antispin players. If you like crabby players, that's cool! You're free to cheer for whoever you like. I used to be a big Harimoto fan, more because of his story than his playing style. But over the years I decided not to cheer for him anymore because I felt he didn't mature at all as a player.

Following somebody around and being so obsessive shows a high degree of internal insecurity. Bullies project their internal unhappiness and lack of self-worth.

and then playing the victim when called out on said assholery; trying to turn it into a convo about unrelated crap.

pretty sad behaviour tbh

Sorry bro. I genuinely have no idea what comment I made that is so offensive to you.

What I said is that if WCQ is faulting on his serve, he deserves to lose and his opponent should take advantage of the TTR and go get his free point. It would be stupid to not take advantage of that.

Furthermore, if the current rules are not satisfactory, go ahead and change the rules. If you write WTT a letter to improve the officiating of the rules, I will gladly sign it.

But I also have no desire to go back and forth arguing with you either. We can just disagree with each other. I have no desire to convince you of anything. You are free to your own view.

Yes, TT should have its own service judge. But I think it would be hard to implement. How do you put a judge in the same position as the receiver?

Unless you can just get the camera to call out faults immediately.
It's not that difficult, just place 2 small cameras on either side of the net post.

The ball has to be visible the entire time throughout the service, and this will be monitored via video feed by a service judge.
