Do you have a really combi blade to play close to the table, FH with flex and enough power to use H-3 boosted & BH to use LP stiff (to block & chop-block but with dampening to return the power topspin), in my long journey still looking for: always getting a small differences between FH and BH combi blades.

It's possible to make, but at the moment I don't have anything like that available.

#1269 - Inner BS - ALL+

Same concept as those softy Vis I make, but I don't do this as often because, in an inner fiber blade, the results might be underwhelming when it comes to speed. However, we don't all like the same things, right?... and I like to cater to all tastes, so I decided to make one anyway. It's reasonably light and reasonably balanced, something like a reinforced Allround classic, which dampens all that annoying vibration and provides a bigger sweetspot. Since it's not so fast and it's quite linear, it will pair well with medium soft and bouncy rubbers and make a nicely controllable setup. Actually, it's a nice introductory fiber blade for a younger player, and so I decided to make a slightly smaller handle than usual as well.

Available FS.

- Koto / Ayous / BS / Ayous core
- 86.5g
- 5.9mm
- 159x150mm
- FL (100x24.6-22.2mm)
- Balance: 3.2cm (Med)

Could you elaborate some ideas of core, layers, weight, balance, price, waiting time, etc. of the custom combi blade to have an idea of your sugggestion?

I can, but not here, send me an email please.

I also spoke a bit of that subject in past posts, not so long ago, so take a look if you are interested.

#1273_1275 - Outer BS - OFF-/OFF

Nothing new to see here, just two "softy Vis" with a conical handle, which I believe I never made before. I'm still surprised that the conical handle went so out of fashion, it's so comfortable and versatile... It's like a straight handle that doesn't slip out of your hand.

Available FS.

- Koto / BS / Ayous / Kiri core
- 85.9 and 85.6g
- 5.8mm
- 157x150mm
- CON (101x26.8-23.8mm)
- Balance: 2.9cm (Low/Med)

I've made plenty of conical handles before 😅. What I meant, and I should have explained better, is that I never put for sale a softy Vis with a conical handle, while I put some with flared or straight handles.

#1317 - Asymmetric Inner/Outer - OFF

An asymmetric blade with an asymmetric handle design. I was looking for a firm feeling with this one, so I used Limba on the medial layers, which is not that common, contrary to popular belief. The Limba I've used is also the densest I had in my stock. Overall it's a stiff, solid blade, with low vibration and a precise feeling, that should pair well with harder rubbers.

Available FS.

- Limba / Limba / Iz-C / Kiri / Limba / Iz-C / Limba
- 89.0g
- 5.7mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (102x23.0x29.0mm)
- Balance: 3.2cm (Med)

#1324 - Outer BS - OFF

A Limba outer Blue-Stuff blade with the same lamination process that I use for the "softy Vis", but with other small tweaks as well. Normally, the Ayous medial layer is relatively thin on this type of blade, around 0.5-0.6mm, but this time I've used a thicker medial and a slightly thinner core. The medial layer plays a very big role on the stability and sweetspot of the blade, and this one feels firm and stable without being hard, due to the soft lamination of the fiber. It's a very stable blade for blocking near the table, but also has some power for playing from mid distance due to the weight distribution. The shape is also a little different than what I usually do, it's based on what some chinese brands use, with longer wings extending further into the handle, and a smaller handle shape. I often say that proportions matter a lot, and it's interesting how we can use a smaller and lighter handle with the longer wings and still be comfortable for mid-sized hands. If the wings were smaller, the handle would feel a lot smaller too.

Available FS.

- Limba / BS / Ayous / Kiri core
- 93.0g
- 6.2mm
- 157.5x149mm
- FL (101x26.0-23.7mm)
- Balance: 3.4cm (Med)

#1308 - Inner AC-I - OFF-/OFF

I was building two blades for a @Doralikesmath , but I forgot that one of them was supposed to have a cyber shape. The shapes were already cut once I realized my mistake, so I had to build him a new one, and I finished this one with a different handle. He ended up loving the blade by the way, it's a W968 composition, but with a small tweak based on what he told me he wanted, AC-I instead of AC for a bit more stiffness while keeping a soft touch.

Available FS.

- Limba / Ayous / AC-I / Ayous core
- 92.3g
- 6.05mm
- 160x151mm
- FL (102x26.3-23.3mm)
- Balance: 3.4cm (Med)

To say that I love it is an understatement. It cured my EJ and my next blade is gonna be made by you, haha. Seriously though, Sergio's craftsmanship is top notch and the blade is close enough to the W968, trading just a tiny bit of the FH magic for easier BH power accessibility. Whoever gets this one is gonna be a happy owner.

Sergio, short question, is the ayous core in this blade of a bit less density than in my blade? Because I have 159x150 and when new it was 93,6g.

I play with your blade and I love it, it's very hard now for me to come up with the changes that I'd request for the new one when I'm in-line. This is like a background thought, which I'm checking as I am playing, for the last year ;-)

It had a less denser core yes, but a little denser medial plies too. With the fiber being different as well, it would have felt a bit different from your blade.

Thickish... 0.75mm

160x151 is pretty large, isn't it? Is it a more FH orientated blade ?
Considering I've made blades with 170x163mm I wouldn't call it very large 😅. But yes, it's a more Fh oriented blade.
